Per a statement released by the Tampa Police Department, the officers arrived at the home in Tampa, Florida around 9:30 a.m. EST on Sunday morning after receiving a phone call about a child (two-year-old Arrayah) that had fallen into a pool. Little Arrayah was transported to a nearby hospital where every attempt to save her life was made. She, however, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
While the Tampa Police Department are investigating this tragedy, they have no reason to believe anything suspicious happened. The police department’s statement goes on to say it was “a purely accidental and tragic incident.”
Shaquil Barrett’s team issued an official statement regarding Arrayah’s death citing that they knew there were no words that could make the situation less tragic.
Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time. While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.”
She Was His Youngest Child
Arrayah was Shaquil Barrett’s youngest child. She leaves behind her mother, father, and three older siblings.

He has an impressive track record that includes being named to Pro Bowl twice. In 2019, he managed 19.5 sacks. Sadly, his 2022 NFL Season was cut short after he tore his Achilles tendon.
