Sandoval & Schwartz’s business is based on fun

Katie Maloney shared her thoughts about their businesses. Tom Schwartz and Sandoval worked on many ventures together, including a whiskey brand. Their image and names are also on a restaurant and lounge. The two achieved success thanks in part to the Bravo series and their close ties to Lisa Vanderpump.

The Vanderpump Rules co-star admitted that their business is based on fun. Sandoval and Schwartz became the kind of guys you’d want to have a drink with. The “Scandoval” could taint their reputation. While Katie doesn’t think “cancel culture” is the answer, she fears that their businesses could be in danger.

“I don’t like canceled culture in that sense [or] in general, [but], like, when your business is solely based off your reputation… if you want to be the fun guys who, you know, everyone wants to come to have a drink with, you better maintain that you’re a fun guy that someone who wants to have a drink with,” Katie Maloney said on Tuesday’s episode of The Viall Files.

She also had a warning for her ex-husband. She feels that he should be cautious in his business relationship with Sandoval in the future. Katie Maloney feels Sandoval would be the type of guy who would let Schwartz fail on his own. She advised Schwartz to distance himself from the cheating scandal.

“I told him that, you know, ‘I think Tom would throw you under the bus and save himself,” Katie Maloney explained. “‘He would drown you if the ship was sinking and save [himself]. He would hop in a lifeboat.'”

Schwartz doesn’t believe Katie, but she feels that it would happen. Since Schwartz and Sandoval are still in business together, she wonders what will come out of this scandal. Both of their restaurants have suffered from the fallout. Fans boycotted Schwartz & Sandy’s and left negative reviews on Yelp.
