On Monday’s broadcast of The View, Whoopi Goldberg ripped up her cue cards in a tense moment. She was fed up with U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene speaking out on the gun control debate. Whoopi started reading the cue cards that were in her hands. She got fed up and ripped them up.

The comedian roared and went off the script. Whoopi refused to obey and read Marjorie’s words. At that point, she had enough of the ongoing debate that’s taken decades. Whoopi didn’t want to hear any more from the politician.

“No! I’m not going to say that!” Whoopi Goldberg declared. “I’m not going to say it! This is the nature of people making decisions for your life. This is a small area, but it’s a very dumb move.”

Producers dropped a hint for Whoopi to move on. However, she refused to follow their cues. She continued her rant as the music played. Whoopi called out Marjorie and her fellow politicians who don’t do their job.

“We have people on these committees who have no brain power and the capacity to continue to ignore any facts or pushback,” Whoopi Goldberg continued. “She is one of those people who’s just going to do what she does. And you don’t have to watch it. I did not.”

The Oscar winner “doesn’t care if you push back” on her. She ended her rant by saying, “Good night, Marjorie Taylor Greene.” The show went into a commercial break. There was no time for the panel to share their opinions on the gun control debate.

Whoopi Goldberg is “tired” of arguing

The co-hosts have discussed Americans’ access to guns many times before. Just last month, the panel talked about the school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. Alyssa Farah Griffin defended Americans having the Constitutional right to gun access, but with restrictive measures in place. However, Whoopi Goldberg was “tired” of arguing a debate that was going nowhere.

“Why are we compromising? I’m tired of trying to find a way to justify you being able to keep 75 guns in your house,” Whoopi Goldberg said. “I’m tired of trying to figure out a way to say, ‘Listen, we have rules and regulations.’ The Constitution is very clear. Scalia changed the meaning of what the Constitution says.”
