Concluding Below Deck Season 10
The Season 10 finale of Below Deck aired on Monday, March 20. Captain Lee Rosbach talked about his career on and off the show. He admitted that he didn’t want to say bye to the St. David crew. He was feeling sentimental about it, especially since he returned to a really good crew of teammates.
“I really hate to say goodbye to any of this crew. I would stack them up against anyone. I really would,” Captain Lee Rosbach said in his confessional. “Going on 40 years I have been a yacht captain. Have I seen a lot of crazy sh*t? Is a 40-pound rabbit fat? Yeah. Have I been in situations where I didn’t think I was going to make it through? Oh yeah.”
Meanwhile, some of his biggest moments on the show played as he reflected on his time on the show. He’s been part of Below Deck since it premiered in 2013. His goodbye was bittersweet to fans who loved his witty candor and snappy comebacks. They also agree that there’s no one else like Captain Lee Rosbach.
He admitted that working as a “yacht captain has been the best decision I ever made in my life.” Captain Lee is glad that he fulfilled his promise to his crew to return. He wanted to cap off the charter season on a high. However, Captain Lee doesn’t know where his career will lead him amid his health issues.
“God damn, what a ride,” Captain Lee Rosbach exclaimed. “I don’t know what is going to happen in the future, but the ocean is always going to be a part of me.”
Why Captain Lee Rosbach left the show
He had to leave Below Deck Season 10 at the start of the season due to health issues. Captain Lee Rosbach experienced numbness and nerve issues in his leg. He hoped to make “a lot more progress” after his surgery. The Below Deck star found it “frustrating” to navigate the boat and do his job.
He felt it was important for him to temporarily step away from his job. This is the first time in his career that another captain had to fill his shoes. Captain Lee Rosbach says it was a difficult decision to make. Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy Yawn replaced him for the time being.
News broke that Captain Lee Rosbach is leaving the show after Season 10. Captain Kerry Titheradge from Below Deck Adventure will replace him in Season 11 as the new season is filming in Grenada.
