Jessa Duggar Seewald suffers a miscarriage.
As TV Shows Ace reported on Friday, Jessa released two new YouTube videos within a few hours of each other. In the first one, she shared footage of herself and her husband Ben Seewald telling their kids that they were expecting another baby. Baby number five was due in the summer of 2023 and would join Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern.
Jessa ended the first video with a sonogram photo that read, “No FHR,” which means no fetal heart rate. However, fans were confused about whether she had a miscarriage or if the baby was okay because the video title included “happy news.”
Shortly after, Jessa Duggar uploaded a second video and revealed that she suffered a miscarriage over the holidays. She ended up having a D&C, which she discussed in her video.
A controversial discussion breaks out online.
After Jessa opened up about her miscarriage, many controversial comments were shared about whether her D&C was an abortion. Some very strong opinions are making their rounds on social media. The reason this is so significant is that the Duggar family is pro-life. Critics are debating whether Jessa had an abortion, despite her family’s pro-life values. Several pro-choice commentators called Jessa out for being hypocritical. Fans are defending her because she had a tragic miscarriage and did not have a choice whether to have a D&C.
It looks like Jessa firmly believes she did not have an abortion.
