‘Seeking Sister Wife’ Real Reason The Winder Family Left Show
Seeking Sister Wife lost the fan-favorite family the Winders for Season 4. Fans were visibly upset that they would not be returning as their story was genuine. So, what is the real reason that Tami, Sophie, and Colton Winder left the series? Read on for more details.
Seeking Sister Wife Real Reason The Winder Family Left Show
When the Seeking Sister Wife cast list was revealed for Season 4, one family was visibly missing. It was the Winders, comprised of Tami, Colton, and Sophie. Colton was legally married to his first wife, Tami and they had a daughter, Sadie. Then Sophie came in and was wife number two. However, they struggled initially to bond as a collective unit with Sophie living in her own home. By Season 3, they had all moved in together and Sophie was expecting a baby boy.
They were still seeking another wife and had found Kimberley but she just was not a fit for Colton. The wives loved her but they had to consider the familial unit. By the end of the season, the focus shifted to Tami attempting to expand the family despite her fertility struggles. It seemed like they were less focused on finding another wife and more invested in themselves. They were then not picked up for the new season of Seeking Sister Wife but why?
According to In Touch Weekly, they shared their feelings on social media as to why they were replaced. “As some of you have seen, we won’t be back for season 4 of Seeking Sister Wife. It makes sense to us why we weren’t picked back up, as we’ve seen the show is taking a different path. We wish the other families well, and we’re grateful to TLC for the opportunity we had to tell our story, and we’ll continue to tell our story on our social media, faithfully, and honestly.”
After The Show
Season 4 of Seeking Sister Wife was a little stranger than past seasons if that’s possible. It felt like they were looking for racy storylines and the Winders were just too real, honest, and pure. Though fans wanted to follow their storyline, it seemingly did not fit in with what TLC wanted to sell. Sophie went on to have her second baby, a little girl. Then, over Christmas, Tami announced she was expecting with the help of science. In a twist, Sophie found out she was pregnant again but sadly miscarried. Fortunately, fans who miss the Winders can keep up with them via their social media and podcast.
