According to the Bates Family Wiki, Carlin and Evan met when she attended an event at his family’s church. Carlin’s sister Erin Paine ended up setting the two of them up, and they then hit it off. On Sept. 17, 2016, they started dating. Then, on Aug. 15, 2017, they began courting.
Bringing Up Bates fans may know that the kids court with the intent to marry rather than date casually. Several of them have married the first person they’ve been in a relationship with.

On Sept. 22, 2018, Evan popped the question at Portland Head Lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Then, on May 25, 2019, the pair tied the knot.

Today, Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart have two little ones. Layla Rae was born on Jan. 31, 2020. Then, on March 28, 2022, they welcomed Zade Patrick to the world. They also have a dog named Izzy.
It looks like Evan and Carlin are very happy with their relationship and their little family. Hopefully, they will have many more wonderful years together. In 2023, they will celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary.
