Kelly Ripa Hints ‘Live!’ Could Go On Without Her?
Kelly Ripa hints that Live! could go on without her. This comes amid the ongoing rumors that she’s walking from the talk show she’s been part of since 2001. The rumors first ignited when she took a two-week break from the show with her husband Mark Consuelos. The two spent their time as empty nesters at their Hamptons’ home.
They also worked on new projects together. Some of those projects are set to release soon. As TV Shows Ace previously revealed, Kelly and Mark have a few Lifetime movies set for release later this year. Also, Kelly is about to embark on her upcoming book tour for her first-ever book.
Is Kelly Ripa leaving the morning show?
Kelly Ripa has an impressive career that’s had fans guessing. She made her start on the classic soap opera All My Children. Kelly later proved that she’s a funny lady by starring in Hope & Faith alongside co-star Faith Ford. Since then, she’s taken on numerous roles, including producer, writer, and now game show host.
This summer, she premiered her new ABC game show Generation Gap, where kids and seniors partner up to answer pop culture questions. Kelly Ripa’s career refuses to die down. She continues to take on different ventures for herself as she experiments with which one to stick with.
Kelly Ripa hasn’t yet confirmed that she’s leaving Live With Kelly & Ryan. She hasn’t discussed the possibility of juggling multiple jobs. Of course, that’s something she can learn from her co-host Ryan Seacrest, who’s also been making career moves of his own.
Last month, she spoke to Ryan about her and her husband going on their first-ever adults-only vacation. The couple ventured off to Utah, where they went rock climbing. It was the first time in decades that they didn’t have their kids, Joaquin, Lola, and Michael with them.
“This is our first vacation in 25 years without children and parents … It’s usually for us, with the kids or … kit and caboodle,” Kelly Ripa explained to Ryan on the July 5 episode of Live. “So Mark and I were like, ‘What are we going to do without the kids?’ And the kids were like, ‘What are you going to do without us!? We’re your whole lives!’ And I was like, ‘Wrong again, kids.'”
How does she feel about Live With Kelly & Ryan?
During the 20th anniversary of Live With Kelly & Ryan, she talked about being the face of the show. Kelly Ripa doesn’t feel she’s the reason why the show’s so successful. She can see anyone being in her place. The reason why it’s lasted so long is that it has longevity, no matter who hosts it.
“It’s not just about me,” Kelly Ripa told Variety. “It really is not. I don’t think I’m the show. I think the show is the show.”
The actress wanted to show a different side of herself during the pandemic. Kelly wanted the viewers to see her with her “imperfections” and flaws. It wasn’t pretty, but that’s just Kelly Ripa. Do you think she’s leaving Live? Sound off below in the comment section.
