American Pickers fans have been in shock over the recent news that Frank Fritz, the fan-favorite star of the History series, suffered a stroke.

Now, we have some news on his progress. This is the latest information on the picker and reality star.

American Pickers Star Mike Wolfe First Shared Frank Fritz’s Health News

On Friday, Mike Wolfe, who currently still stars in the series, first shared the news on an Instagram post early Friday morning.

I have been very private in the past year in regards to Frank’s life and the journey he’s been on. There has been lots of opinions in regards to mine and Frank’s friendship and the show but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend.

Frank has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts.

Frank I pray more than anything that you make it through this okay. I love you buddy.

In the post, he also alluded to Frank’s controversial departure from the series. After a two-year absence, Frank was dismissed from the series. Moreover, he claimed that Mike never contacted him when he dealt with his health issues including back surgery, complete with rods and nearly 200 stitches.
Since Frank’s absence from the series, the ratings have taken a significant dive. Fans are not happy about this, or Frank’s replacement, Mike’s brother Robbie Wolfe.

Frank Fritz Needs ‘Time To Heal’

Fans of the History show American Pickers were shocked to learn that one of the former stars of the series, Frank Fritz, recently had a stroke. Do we have any news on his condition?

According to Fox News Digital, who reached out to Mike Wolfe, Franks’s childhood friend and former co-star, they got news from his representative. They shared that Frank needs “time to heal.”

We [ask] that everyone keep Frank in their thoughts and prayers. The most important thing is that we allow him time to heal and [give] him the space to do so.

What Does Danielle Colby Have To Say About Frank?

Fox News Digital also reached out to Danielle Colby, another American Pickers star. Her representative said, “At this time Danielle will not be commenting to respect the privacy of Frank and his loved ones during his recovery.”

How Long Ago Did Frank Fritz Have Stroke?

American Pickers fans first learned of Frank Fritz’s stroke early Friday morning. However, according to Robbie Wolfe, it sounds like Frank had the stroke much earlier than last Thursday.

Sometimes on Friday he shared photos and wrote on Instagram, “Frank is in the hospital recovering from a stroke, he’s improving every day. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he goes down the road to recovery.”

Carefully reading his post and the words “he’s improving every day,” it sounds like Frank had a stroke earlier than when they made the announcement.  Robbie indicated that Frank is now in recovery mode. That means that they did not announce Frank’s stroke until he was in the recovery period.

Why would they wait to tell fans? As this is a personal health situation, they may have asked for permission to announce this news.

Moreover, they may have chosen to make this announcement when they knew that Frank was not in a crisis mode, but in a recovery mode.
