Ratings for American Pickers Season 23 continue to plummet. Should Mike Wolfe feel the pressure? This comes after he brought his younger brother, Robbie Wolfe, on as the new co-host. Fans think he made a huge mistake with this decision.

Mike has been calling the shots ever since Frank Fritz’s firing. The network fired Frank while he was on the mend from grueling back surgery. Fans boycotted the new season, which worked in their favor. The ratings are dismal, leaving some wondering if there’s a future left for the reality series.

History Channel series moves on without Frank Fritz

American Pickers continues to move on without Frank Fritz at the helm. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Mike Wolfe teased on Instagram that they’re filming the new series. Frank exited the series after he recovered from back surgery that left him with hundreds of stitches and two rods in his spine.

He also ended up losing 65 pounds during the recovery. This inspired Frank to change his lifestyle around. He quit drinking alcohol and eating healthier. Frank hasn’t been on American Pickers since March 2020, when it had its highest ratings yet. Since then, the ratings have been on a steep decline.

Frank was in a feud with his co-star. He shared the details in an exclusive interview with The Sun. Mike didn’t reach out to Frank after he got surgery. Frank also hinted that the show favors Mike more than him.

“I haven’t talked to Mike in two years. He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is. The show is tilted towards him 1,000 percent. I can’t even bend that far down to show you how much…”

Frank has been in hiding since leaving American Pickers. He currently runs his antique store in Illinois. However, it’s recently received negative reviews for the lack of neglect. Frank has also been hit with financial problems.

Is American Pickers star Mike Wolfe feeling the pressure?

American Pickers fans aren’t interested in the show after finding out Frank was fired. Mike took to Instagram to express his feelings about the show. He admitted that he’s feeling “pressure” to make it as interesting as possible. Mike shared a photo of two of his crew members on set.

“Finding the words after 13 years of doing this show becomes harder. A lot of it is the pressure I put on myself. And how much weight I put into telling people’s stories…” the American Pickers star wrote. “These two people help me and sometimes guide me. This shot is what I see when I’m filming. Encouragement, love, understanding, and a true passion for this project.”

The 57-year-old is “blessed” to have those crew members in his life, no matter what happens. Meanwhile, American Pickers continues to air new episodes, despite the steep decline in ratings. Ratings fell under one million viewers in January 2022 and July 2021, for the first time in years. A previous episode only amassed 859,000 viewers as fans continue to promise to boycott American Pickers.

  1. Mike Wolf you should lose the show even though I like it. you include too many losers.

  2. I dont believe you have an archeology degreee. When you went to Maya serach you were only interested in getting rich and didnt include the oriental archeologist with the missing leg

  3. The friendship between Mike and Frank and their honesty are what drew me to the show. But it turns out it was all fake like everything else. I am now permanently soured on the show and no longer watch it at all. I don’t even bother with History Channel anymore, outside of Forged in Fire.
