Originally, The Bad Seed Returns was scheduled to premiere on Monday, May 30. However, they chose to postpone it due to a tragedy. What happened?
Why Did Lifetime Postpone The Bad Seed Returns?
Lifetime chose to postpone the premiere of The Bad Seed Returns due to the tragedy in Uvalde. On May 26, McKenna Grace went to Twitter to explain why they chose to delay the premiere.
I don’t feel comfortable promoting this film this week and we don’t think Monday is the right time to release it.
I was in 1st grade when Sandy Hook happened…and it feels like not much has changed since then. I remember my parents teaching me emergency action plans for going to church or the movies.
if you have power, change something. If you have the means, donate to the victim’s families of any of the recent shootings. I feel sick and heartbroken over these tragedies. www.jedcares.org is a great resource if you are feeling anxious or depressed. If you’re feeling helpless or lie you want to do something but don’t know where to start, I found every town.org to be really informational.

What Is The Bad Seed Returns About?
According to the Lifetime synopsis, Emma (Grace) looks like a typical teenager. However, the 15-year-old is the master of deception. This sequel to the original movie The Bad Seed takes place a few years after Emma’s father (Rob Lowe) is brutally murdered.
Now, the master manipulator is living with her Aunt Angela (Morgan), and Angela’s husband, Robert (Ayres). Like any teen, Emma is trying to deal with the regular stuff that teens go through. She has to make friends, study, and protect her secrets.
One of her classmates seems to know a lot about Emma. But, somehow, she winds up in a tragic situation.
At home, Uncle Robert becomes suspicious of Emma. He even suggests sending Emma to boarding school. However, he does not know what he is dealing with. Emma is always a step ahead of her enemies in this thriller.
Don’t miss the premiere of The Bad Seed Returns, on Monday, September 5, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on Lifetime.
