WWE NXT: 3 Must-See Moments
Jordan Devlin to debut
In a pre-packaged vignette, a voice-over speaking about the “winds of change” coming to NXT 2.0. A man driving in a convertible speaks and is revealed to be Jordan Devline, now known as JD McDonagh. The former NXT UK stand-out is now making his way to WWE NXT 2.0 as the brand continues to evolve. No start date has been announced, however, it’s expected McDonagh could debut in time for the Great American Bash next month.
Legado Del Fantasmo turns on The Family
It was at In Your House that Tony D’Angelo and The Family defeated Legado Del Fantasmo. The stipulation demanded that Legado Del Fantasmo must join The Family, however, it seems that the forced partnership didn’t last long. In the main event of NXT 2.0, D’Angelo had a shot at the North American Title against Carmelo Hayes. In a hard-hitting match, it looked like the head of The Family would walk away with the title. At the end, D’Angelo called for brass knuckles from Santos Escobar who threw them too far into the hands of Hayes. Hayes used the knuckles to knock out D’Angelo and retain his title.
A New Rivalry
Trick confronts Wes Lee
It was earlier this year that Wes Lee’s wrestling career came to a halt. After controversy led to the release of his tag team championship partner, Lee was felt in wrestling purgatory. With a partner or direction, Lee was floundering without much of a purpose. However, in recent weeks Lee has done his best to stand out and came out on WWE NXT 2.0 to thank the fans for their support. During his speech, Trick Williams came out to rain on his parade, claiming no one wanted to him cry. Lee brushed off Willaims, however, it seems like a program between the two is underway.
