‘The Bachelorette’ Michelle Young & Nayte Olukoya Split
The Bachelorette stars Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya have ended their engagement. Both released statements explaining their feelings regarding the matter. This comes as a shock to the entire Bachelor nation who was pulling for a happy ending.
Falling In Love On The Bachelorette
The couple met when Nayte was in the running on Michelle’s season. He landed the first impression rose, according to Us Weekly but was unaware of how important this was. “Obviously, you can assume that it’s just who Michelle [Young] had a really good first impression of, right? But, like, the world of Bachelor Nation? I didn’t have a clue,” Nayte shared on a podcast. As in most seasons of the show and its predecessor, The Bachelor, Michelle was in a predicament. She had fallen in love with two men but needed to choose. In the end, it was Nayte who stole her heart.
“This has not necessarily been a smooth ride, but I’m also not willing to face that fear of walking away from this without you. Because I have never felt a love like this before. And I love you with my entire heart and don’t ever want to think about waking up next to anyone besides you and doing life with anyone besides you. And at the end, I wanted to be standing in front of my soulmate and he is definitely standing right in front of me,” Michelle told the man who would soon be her fiance. The two had continued to find peace together after the show ended, sharing social media love for one another.
Where Did It Go Wrong?
Up until the end of April, Michelle was sharing photos of her and Nayte. They were hugging and seemingly quite happy. Then, her Instagram posts were just of her. That was not leading anyone to believe there was trouble in paradise. Then, this evening, she shared that she and Nayte had split. In her IG stories, The Bachelorette star posted a lengthy statement about them parting ways. She acknowledged being together in the public eye was especially hard. However, she wants it noted that they were both very much in love.
Nayte also released a statement following hers. He shared that just because you find your soulmate does not mean that you have found your forever. More so, he echoed that they both genuinely were in love with one another and will continue to support each other but from afar.
They both appreciate privacy at this very difficult time. Are you surprised that it did not last or di you think it was doomed from the start? Let us know your thoughts below.

I’m not one bit surprised!
Me either…..she was not the best and I totally think he was/is a player.
I am not surprised by this and I don’t think many will be. However I wish the best in live and life for both of them.
I didn’t think this was going to last, but maybe I’m just to old to understand their reasoning to split. One finds their soulmate, but not there forever. Someone needs to spill some tea here and fill in the blanks.
