Mama June’s Former Boy Toy Jordan McCollum Has His Say
In the latest episodes of Mama June: Road to Redemption, June Shannon was seen leaving her family behind for a man named Jordan. She claimed that he was in recovery and she wanted to help him stay on track. Then, it turned upside down and inside out with heads spinning. What exactly transpired between June and Jordan and where do they stand?
Mama June Gets Played
June felt so deeply that Jordan, 24 needed her in Alabama that she left her teenage daughter, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ at the Georgia airport. She then had to get in a car and make her way home alone. June claimed Jordan was the one who helped her get her self-esteem back when she left Geno Doak. That had been very toxic and she had found the light and purpose in her life. Off in Alabama, she went and bought Jordan a new car and helped him get a place to live. The tabloids soon picked up on all of this, revealing she spent 50K on him. Her kids were livid, knowing that she had once again abandoned them for a man. Furthermore, she went and blew all this money.
By the end of last week’s episode, June had not heard from Jordan. She was concerned but then it came out he was getting married…to someone else. June was blindsided by everything but her family was less than surprised by it all. It all worked out as June married a new man, Justin Stroud in March after six months. Then, the other day, she shared the car that she bought Jordan was getting repossessed. At the same time, he was also attempting to sell it. It’s a big mess but Jordan is finally telling his side and he has a lot to say.
He Said/She Said
According to Jordan, who appeared on Elle Bee’s YouTube channel, Mama June saw him on his TikTok last July. He has a pretty big following (750K) and then reached out through Instagram. Not many messages had been exchanged when she came down and he actually had no idea who she was despite being verified on social media. He admits she was weird at first but actually a very cool person to talk to (when she let you talk). By the time she had made it out there, they really had only been talking for a week, if that, and about three days after she got there, he was kicked out of the halfway house. She immediately said she was staying in Alabama until he had a car and a place to live but they had only met one time in person.
June saw a TikTok of him crying, which went viral, and that’s when she said she would get him a hotel room and then they proceeded to go to the car lots. He claims because she is legally blind, he would have to hold her hand and such to get up sidewalks, thanking him by calling him “baby.” It was clear to him that there was more to it than just friendship though she would say he deserved a “dime piece.” He adds that she did pay for a home for a year, fully furnished, and got him the first car. It broke so she convinced him to take it back and trade it in.
What Happened Next With Mama June?
So, he paid for the down payment and she was supposed to pay the 22K balance. That never happened so they let it lapse and go back. The home was supposed to be for him but she stayed there. He felt stuck because he was an addict, fresh out of the halfway home and she was giving him this gift. Now, these were gifts he never even supposedly asked for. Then, she apparently told him not to work because that would cause relapse so he listened. She started helping with the rehab he got kicked out of, furnishing it and making it nicer. That is how he knew Justin as he got thrown out of the same rehab for failing a drug test.
He and Justin went out one night, Justin drank too much and the next morning, Jordan found June and Justin cuddled up on the couch together. He was fine with it because he had met his now-wife, Ashlyn. June was apparently not too happy with that as she came back three weeks later with a Uhaul. She wanted to take back all she had put in the home. He alleges that he was not missing as she claims on the show. Yet he does say he enjoyed his time with her as it was therapeutic some nights when he could not sleep.
In Summation
It appears Mama June and Jordan have very different views of their relationship. He looked at her as a savior and someone who he could learn something from. She seemingly wanted more than he was willing to give. In the end, she found the man she ended up marrying so can she really be mad? No one will probably ever know the real truth but Jordan maintains he does not watch the show. He has a great family through his social media avenues and is expecting a baby very soon.
