Katie Maloney Cool With Lala Kent Snubbing Tom Schwartz?

Katie Maloney shared her thoughts on Lala Kent snubbing Tom Schwartz. Earlier this month, Lala confirmed on Watch What Happens Live that she cut Schwartz from her life. She found out that he’s still good friends with her ex-fiance Randall Emmett. She doesn’t have time for those who still speak to her baby daddy.

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Schwartz sounded off about Lala removing him from her friend group. He claims that he was blindsided by his move. Yet, he’s in a difficult spot since he likes hanging out with Randall. He supports both parties in the midst of their split.

Katie Maloney attended the 2022 Neon Carnival event, sponsored by DIRECTV. She met up with E! News to discuss everything that’s going on in the Vanderpump Rules world. She also shared her thoughts on Lala cutting Schwartz from her friend group. Katie “fully” understands Lala’s decision to remove him from her life.

“That’s kind of like her M.O. and I can’t fault her for that,” Katie Schwartz told E! News on Sunday, April 17. “She feels strongly about Randall and how things have gone down and the person that he is, and how she doesn’t want him in her life.”

The Bravo star admitted that Lala “made it abundantly clear” that the past and present cast members had to pick sides. Katie and Ariana Madix were in a business relationship with the film producer for their new sandwich shop. However, after the news of Lala’s split, they cut ties with him. Katie added that “it is what it is.”

Lala and Randall aren’t friendly either. She would rather not speak with him. They only talk when it concerns their daughter, Ocean Emmett. Lala and Randall are exploring the idea of “parallel parenting,” which requires as little interaction as possible.

Still friends with her former husband

Katie Maloney is still good friends with her ex-husband Tom Schwartz. Though they split in March, they still live together. They’ve established a strong friendship throughout their marriage. She told E! News that “nothing has changed” between them.

“I know that sometimes when there’s a big breakup or a divorce it can be messy, and it’s still complex, but it hasn’t caused too much of a ripple effect when it comes to our friends or anything like that,” Katie Maloney explained.

Their split hasn’t affected the friendships within their VPR group. In fact, everyone has remained friends with both Schwartz and Katie. The former couple wanted to keep their split as amicable as ever, for the sake of their own friendships. She even maintained her own friendship with Ariana as they move forward with their plans for their new business.
