‘Body Parts’: Where Is The Popular TLC Show Filmed?
TLC’s new limited series Body Parts only had three episodes, but it proved to be quite popular with viewers. But now that the series is done for now, viewers have a lot of questions.
For example, where was it filmed? Keep reading to see what we know.
Let’s take a look behind the scenes of Body Parts — where is it filmed?
On Body Parts, we got to know Allison Vest, who is an anaplastologist. Her job is to meet patients that are missing various body parts and then create a prosthetic that looks like the real deal. And Allison can come up with some pretty spectacular designs.
The results are absolutely life-changing. In the final episode, Allison created brand new ears for an eight-year-old boy who lost his in a dog attack. In each Body Parts episode, Allison goes above and beyond to give her patients a newfound sense of confidence.
So where exactly is her practice?
Allison works for Mosaic Prosthetics, which is located in McKinney, Texas. On a map, you can see that it’s a suburb in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. If you visit the practice’s website, you can view a wide array of prosthetics Allison and her team made for patients. It appears that ears, eyes, noses, and fingers are their most commonly requested prosthetics.
However, Body Parts viewers know that’s not all they make. We even saw Allison and her team build a set of new hands for a woman who lost hers to sepsis.
We saw a lot of amazing cases over the show’s three episodes. Which ones were your favorite? From new hands to new eyes and more, it seems like Allison can really do it all. Be sure to let us know about your favorite moments in the comments.
Are there going to be any new episodes of the exciting series?
As we noted above, Body Parts was just a limited event. TLC only scheduled it to run for three episodes. However, it proved to be wildly popular with fans. It could be possible that the network opts to extend it and make it a brand new series.
Medical shows like Dr. Pimple Popper, My 600-Lb. Life, and others tend to do pretty well on TLC. Body Parts is pretty unlike anything the network has done before, so they possibly could revisit the idea and expand upon it.
Would you be interested in a full Body Parts series? If so, be sure to let us know in the comments. If there’s enough chatter online, TLC may just take notice.

First and foremost, Allison should be honoured with the ultimate award of HOPE! Her exceptional talent of recreating literal body parts is phenomenal. This girl is truly blessed.
This is just what our TV networks need – allowing one to see how one can provide hope to your fellowman in many different ways.
I firmly believe Body Parts/TLC will be extremely successful beyond anyone’s belief.
Hopefully yours,
Elizabeth
Who pays for the prosthetics?
I’m sure the person wanting the prosthetic pays for it. Insurance might cover some, but probably depends on where you get them.
Yeah, that and the show will pay them some (if not all) for being on the show.
I really enjoyed seeing the positive changes that were made in the clients lives. The little boy who received ears would no longer be made fun of and the man with no nose who would no longer be stared at after he received his nose were favorites. Really I enjoyed them all and was fascinated by her quality work. More episodes please!
Yes! I loved the show! I had a double mastectomy, a few years ago, and seeing her make nipples for someone that were realistic was amazing!
Time is passing, and I have not seen any hopeful activity that Body Parts will get more shows.
It was wonderful—-It seemed unusual to only make 3 episodes.
PLEASE continue the series. As a retired surgical nurse, I was so intrigued by the outcomes.
Such an amazing show really hope they do more
I really enjoyed the show. It provided so much hope and joy for the patients. I have a family member that had all limbs amputated due to covid complications. She just wants to hold her grandchildren and feed herself. and can’t.
