Has 'Sister Wives' Season 17 Even Been Confirmed?

There has been a lot of chatter about Sister Wives Season 17 as of late. What fans want from a new season of the series. What fans don’t want from a new season. And, do fans even want a new season to happen. The real question, however, is simple: Has TLC even confirmed renewing Sister Wives for Season 17? Or, are fans really jumping the gun with all of this chatter?

Sister Wives Season 17: Has It Been Confirmed?

Confirming renewals for a new season isn’t really something TLC does. Typically, fans know a series has been renewed when a press release comes out revealing premiere dates for a new round of shows. It, however, is pretty rare the network goes out of their way to confirm a new season of any of their shows will definitely happen.

That, however, doesn’t stop cast members from spilling the beans. Chatter on Reddit and various social media platforms suggests fans have Paedon Brown to thank for rumors another season is coming. According to the chatter, Paedon has confirmed Season 17 is happening. Reportedly, he’s also confirmed the family is actively filming the new season. Likewise, it sounds as though Christine Brown will be part of Season 17 despite her decision to leave Kody.

Does Another Season Even Make Sense?

There are a lot of fans who think Christine leaving the family should have been the end of the series. Some fans admitted they would love to see a spin-off with Christine titled Escaping Sister Wives. On Reddit, some fans believe Christine’s cooking show was just a way to test the waters. These fans believe the network wanted to see if people would watch something with JUST Christine Brown.

There are also a lot of fans, however, that want to see the aftermath of Christine leaving the family. How does this family continue to function after her decision to leave Kody Brown? More importantly, what does co-parenting Truely Brown look like for Kody and Christine? Fans believe the series could move forward to show what this type of family coming apart looks like after the fact.
