Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant Natalie Okri is all grown up. Fans know her as the sweet little schoolgirl who auditioned for the talent competition 12 years ago. She first appeared in 2009 when she performed her rendition of “No One” by Alicia Keys.
Natalie won the hearts of the judges and the audience. She was just 10 years old when she performed on the show. At the time, Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan, Kelly Brook, and Amanda Holden were the judges on the show. All four of them wanted the singer to go through to the end.
Check out what Natalie is up to today and see what she looks like.
Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant is unrecognizable
The adorable little girl had a big smile on her face. Natalie had the confidence and presence of someone who could command attention. Twelve years later and she looks like a different person. Britain’s Got Talent fans wouldn’t recognize her today unless they’ve been following her forever on social media.
In fact, she’s still singing and performing. The Londoner is now in her 20s and has graduated from university. Natalie keeps her fans and followers informed on her life and career on her social media accounts. She recently shared a photo of herself with her family including her mom, who was also on Britain’s Got Talent with Ant and Dec.
“I give thanks to God that I made it to the end of university with a 2:1 while juggling music,” Natalie wrote in a previous Instagram post.
Natalie Okri’s music career has grown with her
Natalie is no longer the little girl that she was on Britain’s Got Talent. Her music career has grown with her. It’s not always easy for most singers who start out as kids. Some find it hard to shake their old image and grow up within the industry.
Natalie was eliminated from Britain’s Got Talent. During that season, Ashley Banjo’s dance group Diversity beat the fan-favorite Susan Boyle to the title. It was a big year for many of the contestants on the show. Some fans would say it was one of the most memorable seasons in the show’s history.
