Will Chris & Amanda Shove Amy And Tammy Slaton From Spotlight?
1000-Lb. Sisters features an ensemble cast. But since Season 1, the show really centered around sisters Amy Halterman and Tammy Slaton. Over time, viewers got to meet more of the family members, such as Chris Combs and Amanda Halterman.
Chris and Amanda quickly became fan favorites since they weren’t willing to put up with Tammy’s nonsense. But through it all, they still proved they were family and would stick by one another.
Now that Season 4 hangs in the balance, many 1000-Lb. Sisters fans wonder if Chris and Amanda will be the show’s new stars. Keep reading to see what’s going on.
Fans love Chris and Amanda but are growing tired of Tammy Slaton
Over time, 1000-Lb. Sisters fans grew tired of Tammy Slaton and her antics. Throughout most of the series, she refused to take her health problems seriously. There were points in Season 3 where she chose to drink, smoke, and party instead of prioritizing her health. She did make the responsible choice to go to rehab at the end of Season 3. But is it too late to win back fans?
Chris Combs made his first appearance on the show in Season 2. Amanda Halterman followed in Season 3. But right from the start, viewers loved the two.
Chris continuously pushed Tammy to do her best while he worked on his own weight loss journey. Meanwhile, Amanda refused to tolerate Tammy’s outbursts and put her foot down with her younger sister. Fans really appreciated their presence in Tammy’s life.
We don’t yet know if TLC will renew 1000-Lb. Sisters for Season 4. But if it does, Tammy may still be in rehab and Amy will have two small children at home.
If Tammy and Amy aren’t available for filming, fans might not mind much if Chris and Amanda take over as the show’s stars instead.
The siblings add color and flavor to the popular TLC show
1000-Lb. Sisters definitely got more intense after Amanda showed up on the scene. Hardly anyone can forget the explosive dinner scene when the family went on vacation to Tennessee.
Some of these scenes are hard to watch, but all siblings fight from time to time. More recently, Amanda has been very kind to her siblings on social media. She even let them know how much they mean to her in a sweet, heartfelt post.
Would you still watch 1000-Lb. Sisters even if Tammy Slaton and Amy Halterman didn’t return? Would you like to see Chris Combs and Amanda Halterman star on the show instead? Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.

I absolutely would watch Chris and Amanda if they were the only two that could film. I find them both much more entertaining than Amy and Tammy !- Amy complains too much and Tammy just sits and bitches – I would much rather watch their siblings- drama free !!!!!!
I love the show and would love to watch any and all of the family of Tammy and Amy , i find them all down to earth , funny and like all southerners – with family – they always have each other’s back !- at the end of no matter how bad or bitch one gets w/ the other – they still love one another !- we need more southern kick ads family shows
I just watch the show because it is so far removed from the norm & I find some of the friendly bickering entertaining (e.g. teasing about farting, etc) When they get to gigging together, it makes me laugh. The family dynamic is heart-warming, as they will always go to bat for one another. Plus I hope Tammy starts to take her health seriously.
I would not watch the show with out Tammy and Amy they make the show 1000 pound sisters I love to watch them they are down to earth.
