‘MAFS’ Dr. Viviana Coles Slams Alyssa Ellman
Fans are not the only ones not happy with MAFS bride Alyssa Ellman. Pastor Calvin Roberson has spoken saying that some people are just not honest through the process. Now, Dr. Viviana Coles also slammed Alyssa for the way things have been going. Keep reading to see what she has to say.
Dr. Viviana Coles slams MAFS bride Alyssa Ellman
Experts reiterated that they did everything right and Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette matched up on all their tests. However, the MAFS bride was instantly turned off by her new husband when she saw him. She’s admitted he’s not physically her type.
Things continued to spiral out of control to the point that Chris finally said he was done. He told Alyssa and Pastor Cal that it was his decision day. Chris said he wants a divorce. It’s not usually common that couples split before the actual decision day.
Now, Dr. Viviana Coles is speaking out as did Pastor Cal. Reality TV World shared what Dr. Coles had to say. Dr. Coles basically slammed Alyssa for not respecting the process and her husband. She also addressed why she and the other two experts did not step in and intervene when Chris and Alyssa’s issues began to get out of hand.
Dr. Coles pointed out that she’s been a relationship therapist for 19 years. She said, “I have seen healthy and unhealthy behaviors in my office and, being human, I have wanted to ‘rescue/save/remove/kick out’ partners from their marriages. But I can’t.”
She continued, “Truth is, when you’re talking about consenting adults, there is very very little I or anyone can do other than advise and counsel and talk… about what you hope for them and point out what I, as their trusted professional see is unhealthy/abusive.”
Dr. Coles went on to say that she is glad everyone can see what an unhealthy marriage looks like.

Why they didn’t step in and intervene
Dr. Coles also discussed why they didn’t intervene. She basically said that “it’s a legally binding marriage, and they are contractually obligated to allow the producers to document at least part of it.” She went on saying, “We are all in a bit of a holding pattern while we all, including the 3 matchmakers, wait on either [of] their decisions. It made/makes my head/heart hurt when this happens in any of the relationships I’ve witnessed.”
Now as of Wednesday, fans saw Chris finally say he was done.
While Dr. Coles does believe that Alyssa disrespected her husband and refused to even try to communicate, she did say she believes Alyssa came into this with good intentions.
She said, “BUT because at the point [Alyssa] is refusing to communicate with her husband, she is refusing to be respectful to him, and she is disrespecting the process that has produced many loving families, I’m hopeful that this awful situation will be addressed accordingly.”
