How Does Lala Kent’s Ex Randall Emmett Make His Money?
Vanderpump Rules fans are curious to know how Randall Emmett makes his money amid his financial issues. Lala Kent revealed during the two-part reunion special that he doesn’t have as much money as he claims. His net worth decreased dramatically over the past few months. This comes amid the latest news of his legal battle with his ex-wife Ambyr Childers.
Before he was known as Lala Kent’s man, he was a famed movie producer and director. Randall worked as an intern for Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer. He also was actor Mark Wahlberg’s assistant. Thanks to that connection alone, Randall made his start in the industry.
Randall Emmett was a famed Hollywood producer
Randall Emmett founded Emmett/Furla Oasis Films (EFO Films) alongside producer George Furla in 1998. They produced their first film in 2000 and came up with a unique business model that allowed Randall to make over $1.2 billion worldwide. This allowed them to produce movies on small budgets in tax-incentive-friendly countries outside of the U.S. Randall avoided paying taxes this way.
When the movie was released, it was sold only overseas and via on-demand streaming services within the U.S. This profitable film model would star prominent actors such as Al Pacino, Bruce Willis, Robert De Niro, Steven Seagal, and Sylvester Stallone. These well-respected actors would make a lot of money just for appearing in the film. Randall was known for some of his blockbuster films, such as Silence and The Irishman.
He also produced 50 Cent’s Starz drama Power from 2014 to 2020, when the series ended. Aside from producing films, Randall is also a pro poker player. He has won many tournaments, including two $10,000 tournaments at Aria Resort and Casino. Since then, Randall has taken up an interest in pickleball.
How much does Lala Kent’s former fiance make?
Randall Emmett eventually made his foray into reality TV. He appeared on Vanderpump Rules Season 8 alongside Lala in February 2020. Prior then, they made their debut Flipping Out when they renovated their home. Randall became a regular on the Bravo series. In March 2021, the former couple welcomed their first child, daughter Ocean Emmett.
They ended their engagement in October 2021. Rumors of Randall’s cheating surfaced at the time. Lala moved out of their Bel-Air home and left with their daughter. Since then, Randall’s income has declined. In September 2021, he was worth $20 million but that’s not the case any longer.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Randall Emmett’s 2022 net worth decreased by $19.5 million to $500,000. The Midnight in the Switchgrass director claims that he’s nearing bankruptcy. Earlier this month, Randall filed a lawsuit against his former landlord even though he has back payments. He broke his silence on Instagram and teased that he’s working on a new Netflix documentary that’s about pickleball.
