Kelly Clarkson has no interest in sharing any of her hard-earned money with Brandon Blackstock. The former couple continues to battle it out in court. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Brandon and Kelly reached a settlement when it came to their Montana ranch. However, she’s not interested in settling with her ex-husband when it comes to her money.

The Voice coach does not want to play splitsies. She just wants to see an end to this ongoing divorce battle. In June 2020, Kelly filed for divorce after seven years of marriage. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split.

Kelly Clarkson faces a major setback

The reason why Kelly Clarkson is fighting back is that she dealt with a major blow in their legal battle. While she was granted the sole owner of the $10.4 million ranch, she had to share 5% of the marital property with him. The court originally claimed that Kelly was the sole owner since she purchased it in 2019.

During the November 11, 2021, virtual hearing, she told the court that her ex-husband refused to vacate the property. Brandon argued that he can’t afford a new house. He left Hollywood to become a full-time rancher and hoped he would use the property to start his career. However, Kelly Clarkson feels that he needs to move on with his life, starting with moving out.

The judge decided that Brandon shouldn’t be evicted from the premises. This led to a major setback for the singer. Brandon’s been living on the property ever since. Kelly is not happy with the court’s decision. She’s the titleholder of the ranch. She wants to have full control of the property so she can sell it.

The “Miss Independent” singer previously sold their other marital properties. Brandon decided to give up on show business after their split. The two are also feuding about their working relationship. Both Kelly and Brandon filed a lawsuit in regards to his former talent agency, Starstruck Entertainment.

American Idol alum refuses to share her money

Kelly Clarkson isn’t happy with the way the court has been siding with her former husband. She is putting her foot down when it comes to giving Brandon money. The two are now arguing about finances. Kelly refuses to give her ex “one penny that isn’t ordered by a judge.”

“She is devoting 100 percent of any free time she has preparing for the trial,” an insider told Us Weekly. “When not filming her talk show, she is hunkered down with [attorney] Laura Wesser.”

The divorce is not close to done yet. They still have to settle their finances. However, Kelly has no interest in this area of business. “She will not even entertain the idea of settling with Brandon,” the insider added. The former spouses share daughter River, 7, and son Remington, 5.

  1. Do not give that man a dime, he was supposed to be the breadwinner but ended up laying on his butt spending her money obviously after they married. He was managing people like Blake Shelton’s career so can’t tell me that he didn’t have the means before they married. So he needs to get a job or become homeless if he can’t do that. People like Brandon have preyed on women and expected us to keep them up, he was afforded a well-off upbringing by Reba and his dad and still won’t man up now and get off his entitled ass

  2. I like Kelly Clarkson and even though I don’t really know anything about her husband why shouldn’t he be entitled to some? I mean they were married. women have fought for years to be equal with men and although we are not there yet women get 50% of a man’s fortune when a divorce happens so why not the other way around? isn’t it kind of a contradiction if he doesn’t get anything…?
