WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Full Match Card, Start Time, Predictions

The WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Premium Live Event is just two weeks away on January 29, 2022. The event will take place at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be defending against host former partner in Seth Rollins. Brock Lesnar will defend the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley, with both the men and women competing in Royal Rumble matches. The main card will start at 8 p.m. EST with the kickoff show getting started at 7 p.m. The event will be carried live on the WWE Network via NBC Peacock.

WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Match Card and Predictions

Universal Title: Roman Reigns (c) vs Seth Rollins
Roman Reigns was forced out of his title defense earlier this month at Day 1 due to COVID. With Reigns healthy, he’ll be matched up against his former Shield stablemate in the form of Seth Rollins. While the matchup is intriguing, there’s almost no chance Reigns drops the title so close to Wrestlemania. 6

WWE Title: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Bobby Lashley
Coming out the winner at Day 1, Lesnar has had a target on his back which was answered by former champion Bobby Lashley. While Lesnar vs Lashley has been a dream match for some time, the outcome is predictable.

The winner of the Royal Rumble remains an interesting question and debate as it can go various ways. With so many top veterans getting the call in the title matches, expect a younger star to walk out as the Rumble winner. To pinpoint it to just one man, there’s a good chance Austin Theory gets the nod.

The women’s Royal Rumble match is a mystery due to so many older names from the past filling out the lineup. The name that turned most heads was Impact Wrestling’s Knockouts Champion Mickie James. What better way to make an impact than winning the Royal Rumble.
