‘Cobra Kai’ Is Season 5 Already Filmed?

Streaming services are always ready to cash in on popular names no matter the decade. Cobra Kai takes this in stride expanding significantly on the original 1984 Karate Kid movie trilogy. Four seasons of the spiritual sequel are already streaming on Netflix. However, the recent release of Season 4 is proving to be an audience favorite. Season 5 is in the works as approval for it was verified at the end of the Season 4 release but has it been filmed yet? Be sure to catch up on the karate drama before it’s all over.

Cobra Kai is campy but fun

The series has a more mature rating than its predecessor. Despite the show taking on some serious subjects, it maintains a light-hearted feel. Most of the now-grown-up cast returns for the latest season, straining former fans’ memory. When it comes to who’s who in the Cobra Kai universe the trip to the past combines well with the next generation feel of the show. Not to be confused with The Next Karate Kid that was absent of Ralph Macchio and William Zabka’s characters. Some fans have speculated on a possible return for Hilary Swank sometime in the future.

Cobra Kai Season 5 is ready

Season 5 of Cobra Kai is already in the works. Jon Hurwitz, a co-creator for the show, responded to a fan question on Twitter about Season 4 by revealing that Season 5 was already nearly completed in November 2021. There is no sign of the show completing its story in Season 5 with much left on the table following Season 4’s twist ending. While seeing all of the old characters pop into the series is a lot of fun for viewers what comes next can only be speculated on. Season 4 is the best yet so fans can look forward to what is coming in Season 5 and beyond.

Where does the Story go from here?

The latest plot wrapped up with no certain terms. While Johnny and Daniel are on better terms following Kreese’s hostile take over of the Cobra Kai dojo, these long-time rivals didn’t have an easy time maintaining an alliance. It does seem, however, that the students are less concerned with having hardstands and fierce rivalries. Following the knock-down fight in the school, the break-in at the LaRusso house, and petty fights throughout the season the kids have turned down the hate in Season 4.

With enough family drama to make a soap opera blush, it can be difficult to follow where allegiances are. Is Robbie back on good terms with his dad? Will Miguel find his father? Fans will have to find out on the release of Season 5 because the producers are keeping quiet for now.  One thing is sure, Silver’s betrayal of Kreese will be a point of contention in the future.
