Wendy Williams Brother Speaks On Her Replacement & Wheelchair Confinement?
Wendy Williams is making headlines for her health once again. The host has been noticeably absent from The Wendy Williams Show. A long list of celebrity guests has filled in for her. Wendy did not return after her summer hiatus.
She was initially set to return in September. However, her return was postponed after she tested positive for a “breakthrough case of COVID-19.” At the time, the show was set to make its return for the Season 13 premiere, which was scheduled for Monday, October 4.
However, Wendy did not return for the new episodes. On October 12, the show’s official Instagram page shared that Wendy “continues to be under medical supervision and meets with her medical team on a daily basis.” She suffered “serious complications” from Graves’ disease and her thyroid condition.
What happened to Wendy Williams?
Rumors are currently swirling about her health condition. On Monday, November 22, one report suggested that Wendy Williams has early signs of dementia and is in a wheelchair. The former radio DJ lost blood circulation in her feet and legs. She has had difficulty walking as a result of her health issues.
Earlier this month, Wendy shared an update on her health via Instagram. She felt positive that she would get through this difficult time. Wendy said to expect her to return to her coveted seat soon. For now, guests hosts for the talk show have already been lined-up well throughout the rest of the year.
“I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected,” Wendy Williams wrote. “I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready.”
Fans flocked to the post to share well wishes with the host. Unfortunately, things took a dark turn on Twitter. On Monday night, Wendy’s name trended on the social media app because some claimed it was “karma” for her controversial behavior.
Tommy Williams denies dementia claims
Wendy Williams’ brother, Tommy Williams, is speaking out once again. In a new interview, he denied the dementia claims. On Monday, November 22, he told The Sun U.S. that his famous sister hasn’t been “displaying that type of behavior to the family.” He revealed that they’ve been “routinely” check in with her and that he hasn’t “seen anything like that or had conversations with her that would lead [him] to believe that…”
Tommy claims that Wendy’s health issues are “all physical.” He even said that his sister could travel from New York to Florida to visit her family for Thanksgiving. It will be their first Thanksgiving since Wendy and Tommy’s mom died in December 2020.
A month later, Tommy feuded with his sister via the media. He claimed that she didn’t attend their mother’s funeral. She threatened to “expose” him with receipts that she did show up. Wendy also suggested that she would spill some tea about Tommy’s marriage.
He took to YouTube to claim that his sister skipped the funeral. She also lied to their father about returning to New York for work. According to Tommy, Wendy had dinner with her ex-husband Kevin Hunter and their son. He also blamed her “selfishness” for their broken family affair.
Now, it looks like Tommy and Wendy are on good terms. Hopefully, she will recover soon and return to her rightful place.

There is a law in the Bible: Galatians 6:7 …. don’t be deceived, God will not be fooled – whatsoever you sow – that shall you also reap. The world calls it karma – but whatever you call it ….it’s very plain and simple. Do the right thing, don’t put money over people, treat others well and don’t stir up strife.
