Kendall Jenner Sends ‘Positive Vibes’ Amid Astroworld Tragedy
Kendall Jenner wants to send her fans “positive vibes.” The model broke her silence since the Astroworld tragedy. But she didn’t address the tragic event that took place earlier this month. Rather, she celebrated her milestone of amassing 200 million followers on Instagram.
This comes after she reportedly blocked one fan on her Instagram page. Kendall was criticized for leaving up photos from the Astroworld Festival, which she attended with her sister, Kylie Jenner. Fans asked her to delete the photos that showed the very location where the concertgoers lost their lives. Kendall blocked the user who called her out before she removed the post.
Kendall Jenner now has 200 million fans on Instagram
Despite the controversy, Kendall Jenner amassed over 200 million fans (and counting) on the social media app. She previously received controversy for blocking one fan who slammed her for glamorizing Travis Scott’s concert. The fan took to her TikTok account to share her account.
According to the fan, she left a comment on Kendall’s post saying, “I’m glad you had a great time.” Kendall ended up blocking the user. The fan exposed Kendall Jenner in her TikTok video, calling her a “f***ing loser.” It’s unclear whether the highest-paid model blocked everyone who called her out in that post.
She eventually deleted the post from her Instagram page. Since then, she has racked up quite the following. On Friday, November 19, she posted a series of photos, celebrating her milestone of attaining 200 million followers. Kendall shared that she wants to focus on the positive amid the Astroworld tragedy.
She even encouraged her fans and followers to do the same. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star dumped a whole lot of content. Instead of celebrating her milestone with a sexy lingerie photo, she wanted to share a rare look into her life. Kendall and her sisters have been criticized for sharing racy photos amid the ongoing investigation into Astroworld.
Supermodel spreads “positive vibes” with her 200 million Instagram followers
On Friday, Kendall Jenner shared many photos. The first featured a beautiful view of the beach. She also followed up with an image that shared affirmations such as “I am love” and “I follow my heart.” There is also a clip of the reality star in a white sports bra and matching sweatpants.
In the video, Kendall rings a bell that hangs over her head. The television personality included inspirational quotes, minimalist photos, and a look into her meditation practice. In her post, she thanked her 200 million followers. The brunette beauty chose this content to spread the “positive vibes” with her fans.
“200m of you! ❤️ i love you and hiiii,” Kendall Jenner wrote in the caption. “i’m sending only the most positive vibes and a virtual group hug! take care of yourself, love yourself, remind yourself everyday how wonderful you are! YOU’RE UNIQUE, YOU’RE SPECIAL, YOU’RE LOVED.”
Her post received over 3.8 million likes and counting. While she received praise and congrats, some took to the post to criticize her for failing to acknowledge the victims of the Astroworld tragedy. One fan wrote, “That’s what happens when you grow up in a family with superficial people, gotta take care of your starving spirit.” Another informed that Kendall should “recognize and honor the names of the young people that lose their lives at the concert.”
Some agreed, adding that she should “celebrate and send love to the victims” instead of her fans. They found the post insensitive considering the aftermath of the Astroworld Festival. The Kardashian-Jenner clan has been accused of trying to distract from what happened.
