The Premiere Date for 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 3 has finally been confirmed. And, it is the moment a lot of fans have been waiting for as one of the most popular shows on TLC. As we’ve previously reported, 1000-Lb. Sisters was almost instantly confirmed by the network as being renewed for a third season. TLC viewers recall it is a bit unusual for the network to confirm the renewal of a series so quickly. But, the following the series has is insane.
Recap Of The Previous Season Of The TLC Series
1000-Lb. Sisters Season 2 ended in March of 2021 with “Do or Die” being the final episode. As those who watched all of Season 2 know… It had a pretty explosive ending. Fans finally got to see Amy and Michael Halterman’s beautiful baby boy. Tammy Slaton got rushed to the hospital with COVID. Chris got approved for weight loss surgery. Tammy Slaton and Jerry Sykes broke up. And, the season concluded with the announcement that Tammy agreed to get help from a nursing facility of some sort.
Those who follow Tammy Slaton have NO idea what to expect as she appears to still be on oxygen and doesn’t look like she’s lost any weight. Likewise, she also picked up a new man for a period of time. She met him on TikTok. Recognized as a BBW King, he did spend time with Tammy in person. And, he supposedly did participate in the filming of Season 3. So, fans might get to learn more about him on the show.
It, however, has since been confirmed he and Tammy Slaton are no longer together. Presently, it does not appear as if Tammy is dating anyone. And, fans couldn’t be happier as they want her to focus more on her health and less on her love life.
1000-Lb. Sisters Season 3 Premiere Date Confirmed By TLC

With her weight spiraling, Tammy makes the game-changing decision to check herself into rehab for food addiction, but her stay there may be short-lived as she considers the best way to reach her goals. She also appears to be talking to a new love interest, which is cause for concern for her family, as relationships have hindered Tammy’s progress in the past. Amy is dealing with her own stress, and while her dreams came true when she became a mom to son Gage, balancing the demands of motherhood with her own weight-loss goals may prove to be impossible.
The synopsis continues: “Meanwhile, the sisters’ brother Chris had reached the goal Dr. Smith set for him to be eligible for bariatric surgery but after a setback following a procedure to remove a boil from his leg, he fears he has blown his chances for life-saving surgery. Facing another check-up with their doctor, Tammy and Chris must both face the music and see whether their progress qualifies them for weight-loss surgery.”
