Erika Jayne recalled Tom Girardi’s 2017 car wreck in the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her castmates dropped her jaws as she recounted the story. Both her castmates and fans know that Erika tends to keep things to herself. It can be hard to read her even when her life is falling apart.
Apparently, she kept most of the details of her marriage to Tom Girardi a secret. She spoke her silence on how he treated her for much of their 20-year marriage. In November 2020, Erika filed for divorce from the former hot-shot attorney who’s in the midst of multiple legal battles. The blonde star broke her silence on what really happened when he crashed his car a few years ago.
Erika Jayne reveals Tom Girardi was unconscious after his 2017 car crash
On Wednesday’s episode of RHOBH, Erika Jayne finally recounted what happened when Tom Girardi crashed his car in 2017. She told her co-stars that he’s been unwell for years. His cognitive and other health issues led to the car wreck. The 50-year-old opened up about it at Kyle Richards’ property during the latest episode of the Bravo show.
Erika admitted that she did not tell them the truth about what happened. Tom did not walk away with just a few broken bones. Apparently, the wreck was so bad that it left him unconscious for 12 hours. Erika’s voice lowered as she told her story.
“I called you and I said, ‘Tom’s had a car accident,’ which is true, but I just didn’t tell you the rest of it,” Erika explained to Kyle. “As a result of the crash, his ankle was broken. He was also unconscious for 12 hours, but no one knows that.”
Erika shocked her fellow co-stars when she made the shocking revelation. Most of them dropped their jaw at the dinner table. Newbie Sutton Stracke didn’t know what to think. She just met the Pretty Mess author during Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Reality star makes a shocking revelation
But that’s not all. Erika Jayne also revealed that Tom drove off the cliff. She explained that she was the one who found him. Though she noted he was unconscious, he told her about the accident. Erika believes he was driving home and made a wrong turn.
“When he finally called me, I said, ‘Where you have you been?’ I was just assuming he was with some other woman,” she coolly said.
Once again, Erika’s castmates sat in shock. She explained that she found evidence that Tom was cheating on her around the same time that their former co-star Yolanda Hadid filed for divorce from David Foster. Tom is under a conservatorship due to a “major neurocognitive disorder,” his family claimed in court.

RHOBH fans don’t know what to think
Not only did Erika Jayne shock her castmates, but she also confused viewers. Some of them noticed holes in her story. They couldn’t help but notice the inconsistencies. Suddenly he hurt his clavicle and then he was left unconscious.
“Sorry I just went deaf hearing that made-up story about how tom girardi had a head injury from driving off a cliff (?) and breaking his ankle and clavicle then being found after 12 hours of unconsciousness by erika……i can no longer understand words in any meaningful way,” one fan wrote.
“So Erika Jayne thinks her partner got into an accident while cheating on her?” another added. “Where have I heard this doped-up paranoia before?”
Interestingly enough, there are no reports about Tom Girardi’s car accident. In the episode, Erika claimed he was a private man. Still, it would be a big news story since he was one of the hottest lawyers in Hollywood. Erika could find herself in a web of lies as the season progresses.

So he called her about the accident. But when she found him, he had been y conscious for 12 hours. I have never had an unconscious man call me before! That’s so weird!
Or maybe he called her, and then went unconscious .. and he just waited 12 hours to go and find him.
It’s one or the other. She either waited 12 hours after the phone call to go look for him, or she flat out lied.
He can’t call her about the accident and also be found unconscious for the last 12 hours.
Literally impossible.
So no one saw this horrific car accident or heard anything! No other vehicle traveled down this road for over 12 hours! Think about it! None of this adds up! Also, she knows for a fact that he is cheating on her but she doesn’t file for divorce until just before the news breaks about Tom and the investigation!

Tom leaves for work in the morning (lets say 9am); takes the back road; crashes down a bank; is unconscious for 12 hrs; comes around; it is now evening; calls Erika (lets say 9pm so she thinks he’s been with someone else) who then goes and finds him.
There are many cases where people have crashed down and embankment and not been found because it’s not visible from the road.
