Are There New Episodes Of ‘One Chicago’ Tonight?
One Chicago fans are disappointed to learn that there will not be any new episodes of the Chicago-based shows tonight. Due to additional coverage of the presidential inauguration and a primetime special entitled Celebrating America, fans will have to wait until next week to see their favorite Chicago-based first responders.
NBC made the announcement on their Twitter page.
Hey ChiHards, #OneChicago will return next week at its normal time of 8/7c. See you then! ❤️🧡💙 pic.twitter.com/cE3zlSCikU

This is the second time new episodes of Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med have been postponed by NBC. Earlier this month, NBC chose to continue coverage of the incident at the nation’s capital building on January 6th. Chicago Med and Chicago Fire will not be on television tonight. A rerun of the Season 7 finale of Chicago P.D. will air tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
Chicago Fire
Chicago Fire is still going strong in its 9th season on NBC. Although episode 4 has been postponed, creator Derek Haas has given some insight as to what we can expect on this season of Chicago Fire. With all the dangerous and exciting things that have happened so far, how is Haas taking it farther?
“We got a big one [coming up] where we had to build an entire stage for a freight elevator that is caught in a fire. That’s a really fun one. That’s with Herrmann and Cruz primarily…. I do know in Episode 4 we have the most epic prank war we’ve ever had on the show. That did require lots of special effects. And in fact had a doughnut cam for the first time ever on the show….We’re gonna have a lot. We’re gonna have scuba Severide again this year.”
Chicago Fire has always delivered in terms of thrilling and heart-pumping moments. A prank war is sure to be a lot of fun to watch next week.
Stars Speak Out On Social Media
Although fans will have to wait until next week to find out what happens next, the stars are showing their support for inauguration day.
Colin Donnell, who stars as Dr. Connor Rhodes on Chicago Med, posted a photo to his Instagram page simply saying “It’s a new day.”
Some fans were not as happy as Jesse Lee Soffer, who stars as Jay Halstead on Chicago P.D., was when he posted his excitement on Twitter.
Happy Inauguration Day everyone 🙂
