Kailyn Lowry Cancels Christmas: Too Much With Four Kids & Three Dads
Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has decided to cancel Christmas 2020 celebrations with her children. Why? Well, she just feels like celebrating Christmas with four children and three dads is going to be too much work. And, it doesn’t sound like she wants to feel overwhelmed during the holidays this year.
Kailyn Lowry tells Lindsie Chrisley she’s decided to cancel Christmas
During this episode of her “Coffee Convos” podcast with Lindsie Chrisley, Kailyn Lowry admits she’s decided to cancel Christmas celebrations this year.
We’re not doing anything. Like, I’m just not gonna have them so they don’t have to get each other stuff. I might ask them do they want to get each other anything for Christmas, and if they say yes, then I would just obviously facilitate that. They’re gonna be with their dads, I’m pretty sure, until the end of Christmas Day, so I feel like maybe by then it would be over but also I don’t know. It might be kind of nice to give each other something, so maybe we’ll see.”
Based on the conversation above, it sounds like Kailyn Lowry doesn’t feel a real obligations to celebrate Christmas with her children simply because they won’t be with her. They’ll be celebrating with their fathers. Is one celebration enough? Or, do they need to have one with her as well? She certainly doesn’t seem to think so.
The MTV personality currently has four children with three different men
The Teen Mom 2 star shares her 10-year-old son Isaac with Jo Rivera. She shares 7-year-old Lincoln with Javi Marroquin. And, she shares her 3-year-old son Lux and her 3-month-old Creed with Chris Lopez. According to her conversation with Lindsie Chrisley, it sounds as though the boys will all be spending Christmas Day with their fathers this year. So, she doesn’t see a reason to make a big deal out of it.
Kailyn Lowry recognized that the decision to cancel her Christmas celebrations seemed sad. But, she felt it was justified.

“It is kind of sad, and I get that. I definitely get that. I just feel like it’s a lot and the amount of money that I was spending on Christmas gifts and then I was only getting them for half the day and then I had to share,” she continued to explain.
Celebrating holidays with multiple fathers in the picture is messy
The MTV personality explained part of her reasoning was how complicated holidays were with three different fathers in the mix. Unfortunately, it is a messy situation. And, there is never a way for her to make everyone happy.
I don’t get to go to my family because my family, Jo’s family and Javi’s family are all in different areas, and then when we added Chris to the mix, it was like, there was just so much going on that I was never gonna have three happy dad situations. Then it was stressing me out to have one back my 4 o’clock, one back by 7 o’clock, and even though the custody orders say the same thing, it was almost like, OK, that’s like a default. So we tried to agree on other things that would work and I just couldn’t make it work to the point that everyone was actually happy about it.
Cancelling Christmas celebrations this year doesn’t mean they won’t celebrate other holidays together. In fact, Kailyn Lowry still plans to celebrate Thanksgiving with her children. In fact, they will be celebrating with one of her friends.
