Christina Aguilera first gained fame as a teen pop star. She was one of the few to continue her career as an adult. She recently ended a multi-year residency at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Like many celebrities these days, she has paid collaborations. Fans blasted her for “false advertising” in her latest promotion. Keep reading for all the details.

Christina Aguilera Will ‘Never’ Do The Voice Again

Christina Aguilera spent six seasons as a coach on The Voice. The current season of the singing competition brought back several previous coaches for a Battle of Champions. However, the “Gene in a Bottle” singer wasn’t one of them, much to the dismay of viewers. There are a few factors in her not being asked back.

First, she only won one season of The Voice. The other returning judges – Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend won multiple seasons each. Secondly, she absolutely hated doing the reality TV competition.

She opened up to PEOPLE magazine after her 2016 departure about the terrible experience. She revealed that the producers were strict about what she could say or wear on the show. Furthermore, she felt The Voice moved away from the music and became about ratings. “It became something that I didn’t feel was what I had signed up for in season one. You realize it’s not about music. It’s about making good TV moments and massaging a story,” she said at the time.

Pop Singer Partners With Hair Care Brand

Viewers may not see Christina Aguilera on the NBC reality competition, but she’s still around. She recently ended a Las Vegas Residency after a successful run. The singer ventured away from music this month to partner with a hair care brand.

Christina Aguilera teamed up with Nexxus to promote their new Keraphix Liquid Crystalizer Leave-In Treatment. “Nexxtina. My hair has lived many lives… And Nexxus’ Keraphix Liquid Crystalizer Leave-In Treatment is the product that can keep up,” a caption on an Instagram post said.

Fans Blast It As ‘False Advertising’

The post included a video of Christina Aguilera running her fingers through her hair while looking seductively at the camera. However, social media users quickly realized that the singer seemed to be wearing a wig, indicating that she didn’t really use the product at all.
