She joins returning coaches Adam Levine and John Legend for The Voice: Battle of Champions. She was reportedly about to film the reality competition when her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away in the summer of 2025. Kelly Clarkson missed several days of filming to attend the funeral with their two children, River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9.

Season 29 of The Voice premieres on Monday, February 23, 2026.

She’s ‘Done’ With Daytime, Focused On Family After Tragedy

In addition to her singing career and primetime TV obligations, Kelly Clarkson has hosted a daytime talk show since 2019. The show includes the beloved Kellyoke segment, where the American Idol performs a cover song from all types of genres. Sadly, Kellyoke may be coming to an end.

Page Six reported earlier this week that The Kelly Clarkson Show is ending after the current season. “[Her show] is a lot to put on, and looking at the landscape across daytime television, it’s not sustainable anymore,” an insider spilled.

The talk show moved from California to New York City for Season 5 to accommodate Kelly Clarkson’s life post-divorce. But she reportedly wants out of daytime after her current contract expires.

Previous rumors suggested that former Today host Hoda Kotb could replace Kelly Clarkson.

The Kelly Clarkson Show Staffers In Limbo

Entertainment Tonight corroborated Page Six’s report with one of their own. A source with the daytime show played coy, telling ET, “Any updates concerning the show will be communicated directly.”

However, The Kelly Clarkson Show staffers are reportedly in limbo amid speculation about the future of the daytime talk show. “It very well could be ending after this season, because her contract ends, but the staff doesn’t know for sure yet,” an insider said.

Fans of the talk show were heartbroken over the possibility that the show might end. They shared their feelings in the comments.

  • “Noooo is one of the best talk shows ever. Don’t end it”
  • “Wait what noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo”
  • “It’s getting so popular why would they do that now”
