Lamar Odom DUI Arrest Details Reveal Weed & Dangerous Speeds
Lamar Odom was arrested on January 17th, 2026, for DUI, and this was not the first time he had been in trouble. Yet, after all he had been through in his life, the hope was that he had gotten everything in order. Now, his arrest details have been revealed, and it is a very scary event. Lamar Odom Had Weed & Sped Out Of Control
When Lamar Odom was arrested, there was a lot more to the story than just a DUI. Of course, it was tragic to learn that this had happened, given his past with substance abuse. Some Kardashian fans may recall how Lamar almost died in 2015 after overdosing in a Las Vegas, Nevada, brothel. It led to him being hospitalized and his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, rushing to his side. They had parted ways, and she was attempting to move on with her life. However, she had a soft spot for Lamar and was there when he needed her.
The two shared a sweet reunion on the Hulu series, The Kardashians, so fans never expected Lamar to find trouble again. Sadly, on January 17th, 2026, he was pulled over for a DUI. Yet, prior to being arrested, there was more to the story. Allegedly, Lamar’s vehicle smelled horribly of marijuana, but he shared that it was not him who was smoking. Rather, his passenger had been smoking a “little bit,” as Lamar Odom claimed that he “does not smoke marijuana.”
However, he had earlier stated that he “doesn’t really smoke” but also alleged that he had smoked at some point in the day. So, it is very confusing as to what is going on with him and the whole weed situation. In any case, the smell was quite pungent, and apparently, Lamar’s eyes were incredibly bloodshot, per the officers on the scene. As for how fast Lamar Odom was going, his car allegedly went by authorities at roughly 106 miles per hour, and that was when the police started their lights and engines.

The arrest was not cut-and-dry for Lamar Odom. Rather, the cops asked the former basketball player a lot of questions. One of the questions asked was regarding any prior brain injuries. It seems that the forty-six-year-old made a joke and noted that he “had 12 strokes and six heart attacks and that he was poisoned at a brothel in Pahrump.” Soon after, the sobriety tests were conducted, showing that Lamar was clearly inebriated. After the story broke, his fans were broken for him, especially after what had happened over a decade ago:

- Lamar can do this! He has to have the want and the desire to maintain a sober life. Maybe a sober living facility is a good idea. Rooting for him!
- If he relocated maybe it would happen. California is obviously notorious for relapses as you hear it all the time.
