Andy Cohen Is Proud Single Father
Andy Cohen is front and center during the Real Housewives drama during Bravo’s reunion shows. However, his personal life is much calmer. The openly gay television personality has dated over the years, but his main focus is raising his two children.
He welcomed his son, Benjamin Allen, in February 2019. His daughter, Lucy Eve, joined the family in 2022. Both children were born via surrogacy. Andy Cohen gushed over being a dad during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast in October.
“I like being single. I have a really good life, so I haven’t been, like, ‘Oh, I’m so lonely.’ And then my kids wound up saving my life. Having kids later in life was the greatest thing I’ve ever done,” he said.
The Bravo host also addressed the long-standing rumor that he’s secretly in love with one of his best friends, musician John Mayer. “If I could find a gay guy that was him, it would be magic. But you know what? I’m grateful for the love that we have.”

Andy Cohen is proud of the family he created. He often shares funny things his kids say or do. In one recent social media post, he shared a huge milestone of his oldest child, Ben. The young boy, 6, had his first visit from the tooth fairy after losing a tooth.

The Bravo host opened up about the experience on his radio show. He told co-host Jonah Hill about the emotional moment. “You know, when you watch them go in somewhere, and you’re looking at them from behind with their big backpack? I burst into tears,” Andy Cohen said about walking his son to school after he lost his tooth.
” I was sobbing in front of Ben’s school, looking at the pride that he had and how excited he was, and that that was his first tooth, and he’ll never have this again … I was sobbing down the whole street today on the way home,” he added.
The emotional story even had Jonah Hill choked up. “It was too much; it was too much for me,” Andy Cohen said about his son’s milestone.
He shared more details about it on social media. He asked his followers what the going rate was these days for a visit from the tooth fairy. People of a certain age may recall getting twenty-five cents per tooth. But inflation has hit everyone, even the tooth fairy.
Andy Cohen revealed that the tooth fairy gave his son a whopping $5 for his first tooth. However, the amount will reduce to $2 for future visits.
Kids losing their first tooth is a huge deal, so it’s understandable that Andy Cohen was emotional.
