Simon has been a tough judge to impress for the entirety of his career. When he was on American Idol, he never held back. He was brutally honest with the contestants and always let them know what he truly thought. If they couldn’t sing, he was not going to lie and say they could.

Simon Cowell has revealed his deepest regret about American Idol. It seems as though he regrets being so mean. This shocked fans to hear as this is his whole image.

“What can I say? I’m sorry. Just being a d***… I’m not proud of it. Let’s put it that way. I never look at this stuff online or anything. You know, I’m not someone who particularly wants to see myself on camera. So when I hear about these clips, I’m like, ‘Oh God,’ but then again, the upside is, I suppose, with these clips, is that it made the shows really popular worldwide.”

Simon is not proud of himself when he looks back on things. However, there is nothing he can do about it now. He has said sorry and wants to go on with life. Fans are not upset about any of this, though.

It seems as though Simon feels bad that he has been so mean over the years. So, he started to lighten up because he realized he was being a bit harsh.
