Kelly Ripa Reacts To Claims Her Friends Want To Steal Her Husband
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos fell in love quickly. Their love story is well-known. They met while starring on the ABC soap All My Children in the mid-1990s. The couple eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada, a year after meeting on the set of the daytime soap opera. Mark Consuelos revealed recently that they broke up a week before the wedding.
After nearly 30 years together, the LIVE co-hosts have a lot of history. They banter a lot on the daytime talk show about what the other will do when one of them dies. Mark Consuelos shocked his wife during their daily banter by implying her friends want her to die so they can date him.
The crazy theory came up when they were discussing setting up their single friends. He warned his wife to “be careful” of her friends. A stunned Kelly Ripa had a shocking response.
“Please, my good girlfriends know a lot about you, so I wouldn’t get too confident. I wouldn’t say you’re the number one priority,” she retorted.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos aren’t shy about sharing intimate details of their lives, including what goes on in the bedroom. On Wednesday’s episode of LIVE with Kelly and Mark, he opened up about a recent visit to the doctor.
Mark Consuelos revealed that he had to seek medical attention after suffering an injury while in bed. He told a story about how he managed to hurt his arm while sleeping.
“I had this dream I was in bed and my arm was hanging off the side of the bed, and I went and I punched in the dream,” he said. He added, “It was at an angle on the bed that I hyperextended my arm.”
He woke up in a lot of pain but ignored it. It finally became too much, so he went to the doctor. Mark Consuelos said that his doctor is used to him getting injured and laughed. But the injury was actually pretty serious. Imagine revealed a “slight tear in my brachioradialis tendon, and maybe my bicep tendon.”
Why He Calls Injury ‘Pathetic’
Kelly Ripa didn’t have much sympathy for her husband. “You’re just falling apart,” she teased him. He agreed and called the injury “pathetic.”
“You know you’re getting old when you injure yourself dreaming. That’s so pathetic,” Mark Consuelos said about the odd injury.
But his wife spoke up and praised him for continuing to work despite the pain. “All this time you’ve been working, injured, in front of America and Canada,” Kelly Ripa said.
“I’m pretty much a hero,” he told the audience.
Mark Consuelos didn’t share whether he needs surgery to fix the arm injury or if it will heal on its own.
