Sick Update On OK Man Who Impregnated 11-Year-Old Daughter

An update has been given concerning an Oklahoma man who was accused of fathering a child with his 11-year-old stepdaughter. The child’s mother is also facing felony charges over the case, with the two recently appearing in court. Since the story has come out, the couple is also facing other charges concerning their five other children.

DNA Testing Has Since Been Performed On The Stepdaughter’s Baby

Dustin and Cherie Walker were initially charged with one felony count each of child neglect. This came out after Cherie’s daughter, who is Dustin’s stepdaughter, gave birth to a full-term baby on August 16.

However, the charges the couple were facing would end up being amended. This was due to DNA testing performed on the newborn child.

According to KTUL, Dustin was shown to be a 99.9% DNA match for his stepdaughter’s baby’s biological father. He was since been accused of repeatedly abusing his stepchild between January 1 and August 16, with him being charged with the sexual abuse of a child under 12. In addition, Cherie is also being charged with enabling child sexual abuse.

The couple now face six counts of felony child neglect. This includes failure to provide Cherie’s daughter with adequate medical care and supervision when she gave birth. The couple also faces five other child neglect charges concerning five other children.

According to legal filings, the children were found to be “living in deplorable conditions.” It was further claimed that “the victims were found to be living in dog feces and had no clothing on.”

The couple had a brief court appearance in early September. Their preliminary court date was set for November 24. They are currently being held on $100,000 bond.

A District Attorney Also Shared More Details On What The 11-Year-Old Went Through Giving Birth

Janet Hutson, Muskogee Assistant District Attorney, also spoke with the publication. In a statement, she shared, “It is a tragedy that an 11-year-old child was raped and had to give birth at home with absolutely no medical attention whatsoever. We are alleging that the father is the stepdad of the child. We are also alleging neglect. And as I know, you know, these are charges, not convictions at this time.”

Hutson also shared some details about the initial birth story. She noted that the 11-year-old stepdaughter was taken to the hospital after hemorrhaging. Emergency medical services personnel ended up cutting the baby’s umbilical cord.

Michelle Justus, an alleged caretaker of the children, was also taken into police custody concerning the story. Initially reported as being an alleged neighbor of the family, she was later identified as the children’s grandmother by 2 News Oklahoma.

Hutson previously shared, “We are alleging that she, too, was a caretaker of the children and failed to correct certain conditions or report the fact that the child is pregnant.” Michelle is now facing six counts of felony child neglect.
