Justin Timberlake Lyme Disease: How Will This Affect Him?
Today, it was revealed that singer Justin Timberlake has Lyme disease. This news came out after he got a hard time from fans for not really performing well at his last few concerts. Well, this explains what is going on with him. Timberlake actually shared the news on his Instagram.
Justin Timberlake Reveals Diagnosis
Justin went to his Instagram and shared a huge post, which opened up about what is going on with him right now. Here is what he shared about his diagnosis:
“Among other things, I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease -— which I don’t say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes. If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going.”
What Does This Mean For Him?
So, what does this mean for Justin and his future? Lyme disease is actually spread by ticks and so this is how he got it. Fatigue is one of the things that people notice early on with this disease. Justin has obviously been struggling with this, making it harder to perform in his concerts. If not caught early, it can cause nerve damage and a lot of other issues, which it sounds like Justin is dealing with now.
Justin Timberlake’s tour has come to an end now. So will Justin ever tour again? That is really an unknown, but with the way that he is feeling right now it would be pretty shocking if he ended up doing it. It would take a lot of energy to do an entire tour, and he just doesnt seem to have that right now. He did make the decision not to stop touring before this one came to an end, though. Justin said he was going to “be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren’t misinterpreted.”
They symptoms for Lyme disease do vary from patient to patient, so fans will just have to wait it out and see how Justin ends up doing and if this is the end of his music career.
