Bravo executive, producer, and host Andy Cohen is breaking his silence on Jax Taylor’s exit from The Valley. Season 2 is preparing to come to an end, and the first show reunion will air. Yet, how does it feel knowing that Jax is departing, and how will it affect the show’s future? Keep reading for more details.

Andy Cohen Breaks Silence About Jax Taylor’s Exit

For years, Andy Cohen has attempted to hold Jax Taylor accountable for his poor behavior. He has consistently stated, at every reunion since Season 1 of Vanderpump Rules, that he is trying to grow and learn. At a certain point, his words meant nothing, and Andy would remind him of this. After Season 8 ended, Jax was let go, along with his now estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, Stassi Schroeder, and Kristen Doute. However, had the mass firing not happened, much of the VPR cast would have headed to a spinoff, now branded The Valley.

Four years after being let go, The Valley arrived, and Jax was front and center. It showcased the demise of his marriage to Brittany, and by Season 2, she had filed for divorce. He also sought treatment for mental health problems and admitted that he was a cocaine addict. On July 16th, Jax announced he was exiting the series, and now, Andy is sharing his thoughts. He admitted he is very proud of Jax’s decision, saw the audience’s reaction to his behavior, and did not prolong the agony:

“I’m very pleased with his decision, and I think it is reading the room well. And I think the most important thing is that I hope he can work on all of his issues.”

Andy Cohen also noted that he had addressed Jax Taylor’s issues at the Season 2 reunion. He wanted him to get better and work out all of the problems that he had. Therefore, he could be a better father and co-parent properly with Brittany. The hope now is that he can make it his focus since he will no longer be filming.

Fans Have A Feeling

The Valley fans have a feeling that Jax Taylor was not given a choice about staying or leaving. Rather, they believe that Bravo forced him out, and they do not want Andy Cohen to act like Jax made a wise decision on his own:

  • STOP ALLOWING IT SEEM AS IF HE STEPPED AWAY. Bravo fired him. And if they didn’t, shame on them. We witnessed domestic abuse, coercive control, stalking by him this season.
  • Andy wants to be their pal above doing what’s right, sadly.

It is hard to understand why Andy is standing by Jax, whether he feels an allegiance for the success Vanderpump Rules brought to Bravo. Or, the fact that he has watched the cast grow, and will always have an open heart for them, good or bad. Either way, Jax now has to prove if he can be a better man away from the show.

Do you think Andy Cohen is coddling Jax Taylor, or is he really proud of how far he has come? Let us know your thoughts and watch The Valley Tuesdays on Bravo.
