‘Bachelor’ Alum Shares Plans To Spank Child For ‘Sin’
One of The Bachelor alums is speaking out about plans to spank their child if they “sin.” Spanking a child is very controversial and a lot of people do not agree with this decision. So, who has these plans, and what did they have to say about it?
Bachelor Alum Speaks Out On Parenting Plans
Madison Prewett is opening up about her parenting plans, and it sounds like spanking is part of it. Madi was on her “Stay True” podcast when she opened up about plans to spank her child. She is very religious, and this all goes together. Here is what her husband, Grant Troutt had to say:
“The Lord’s discipline is never disciplined out of emotion. The Lord’s discipline is always off the heels or disobedience or sin. When you have a child, you don’t just discipline them for being good and obeying you. Like, if Hosanna obeys us, we’re not like, ‘Come here, girl. Pull ‘em down.’”
Madison Explains The Way She Will Do It
It sounds like The Bachelor alum has plans to be very gentle with her child. She is going to spank her, but will explain it in a way she understands. Madison said she will say something like:
“Hi, sweetheart. Do you know why you’re being disciplined? Mommy does not want to discipline you. Mommy does not enjoy having to spank you, but there are consequences to disobedience. There are consequences to our sin.”
Madison Prewett spoke out that she was spanked as a child, and she didn’t like it. The thing is, she seems to understand why her parents did and is now okay with doing the same with her child.
Madison went on to say, “When my dad spanked me when I was young, I didn’t enjoy it. But now I look back, and I’m, like, ‘Praise God, my dad loved me enough to discipline me. Praise God that my dad loved me enough to train me into righteousness.” A lot of people are not going to agree with Madison’s decision on spanking her child, but she is going to parent the way that she feels like is best for her.
