‘Duck Dynasty’ Revival Plans Touching Tribute To Phil Robertson
Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson tragically passed away in late March at the age of 79. This had also come out just as a Duck Dynasty reboot had recently been announced. Since then, news has come out that the revival plans to honor the Duck Commander patriarch, just ahead of the reboot’s premiere.
Duck Dynasty Star Phil Robertson Passed Away In Late March
Many viewers were introduced to Phil Robertson and his family through the Duck Dynasty series. The A&E series took a look at the Duck Commander company, which specialized in making products for ducks hunters, which had been founded by Phil.
Tragically, Phil Robertson passed away on May 25, 2025. He was 79 at the time of his death. The news also came out after the family had shared that Phil was undergoing a variety of health issues, including an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

The original series lasted from 2012 to 2017. However, A&E previously announced a reboot of the series, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, was in the works, and is set to premiere on June 1, 2025.
Ahead of the revival’s premiere, People has shared that the series has already planned to pya tribute to Phil following his passing. According to a short clip, Phil’s son Willie can be seen reading from his laptop while sitting in an armchair. He then asks, “So ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. Only one will earn the bandana, so let the games begin. What do you think, Phil?”
Willie Has Also Shared A Few Tributes To His Father On Social Media
Phil then answers with a thumbs up. Willie then responds, “Ah, that was awesome!” As Willie breaks into laughter, the screen then fades to black. A photo appears with Phil complete with an in-memoriam tribute.
Following the news of Phil’s passing, many members of the Robertson family have also offered their tributes to the Duck Dynasty patriarch on social media. For his part, Willie also shared a recent tribute to his father in anticipation of the revival on Instagram.

In one recent post, Willie wrote, “My dad left behind a powerful legacy, and it’s one I’m proud to carry forward. Now, it’s the next generation’s turn to pick up the torch, honor our roots, and keep the tradition alive.” The post, which was also shared by Duck Commander’s warehouse page, also teased the release of a special edition Revival Duck Call.
Willie Also Shared A Post Talking About His Father’s Last Words To Him
In another post in honor of Memorial Day, Willie also shared, “I remember Phil’s many prayers on Memorial Day and all the times with my dad. I don’t have enough words to tell of all of it, perhaps it will take months or years of remembering.”
“He taught me many things in life and most without ever saying a word. I watched him, and knew he had figured out so many things. Most importantly, he taught me the value of sharing my faith with others. He was the Real Deal, the same on Sundays as Fridays. Most of our conversations were not about hunting or business, but about sharing the Gospel.”

“The last words he said to me as I leaned down over his weakened body was ‘You’re my brother.’ It made total sense to me. He always told me we were coworkers in the Kingdom of God. Maybe that’s why I always just called him Phil. Not sure if he is up in Heaven now doing his own dance moves for our Father.”
“Phil, I love you and already miss you. Thank you for raising me the right way and teaching me the most important lesson to prepare me for the day you passed on. Not sure how people deal with loss without the Lord. We may be wrong about all this….but I doubt it! Sleep well Dad, can’t wait to see you.”
