Farmer Wants A Wife Nathan Smothers Speaks Out Over Rude Comment
Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2 star Nathan Smothers is speaking out about a rude comment he read online about him. He went to TikTok to share his thoughts. He shared that he read a comment on the FWAW Facebook page that said they do not like him because he is “cocky.”
He believes this is in response to him saying that Fox was bringing out the big guns for last Thursday’s episode of the show. Nathan was referring to the show bringing him and his winner/girlfriend, Taylor BeDell, on Season 3 to talk to the new couples that were beginning to form.
Smothers had an honest response to that. He said that when he posts on social media or makes TikTok videos, he’s generally just having fun and joking around. Nathan said sometimes he is probably even just exaggerating. With that being said, he shared that social media and the show is not his priority. His priority is the ranch.
He Reveals Where He Finds His Identity
He went on to say that social media and Farmer Wants a Wife do not define who he is as a person. Nathan even said the ranch does not define his identity. So what does? Smothers said he finds his identity in “Jesus Christ.”
He went on to say that Jesus is truly the only person whom he cares what they think about him. If he is honoring the Lord, then his other relationships will follow suit. He also said that when Jesus came to earth, he spoke a lot of truth, and many people didn’t like it. If he says something on TikTok that people do not like, he said, “Oh well,” he does this for fun.
Nathan does not make these videos or share updates about him and Taylor out of obligation. He does it on the side because he enjoys it. Smothers feels it’s a privilege for everyone to still see things about his and Taylor’s relationship.
He continued to say that many feel like, since they were on the show, they are expected to give updates on their relationship. He said he doesn’t owe that to anybody. If someone doesn’t like his videos, then unfollow him. He said that it is fine to do so.

In conclusion, Nathan said that he’s not trying to be “cocky or arrogant” he’s just joking around and having a good time. If something rubs someone the wrong way, then that’s okay; they don’t have to keep up with the updates.
