All The Details On Amazon’s ‘Not Very Grand Tour’ Special
The Grand Tour may be done but now Amazon Prime is bringing in Not Very Grand Tour. This is an upcoming special hosted by James May and Richard Hammond. What is this show about and when is the premiere? Here are all the details.
Amazon Prime Presents Not Very Grand Tour
It looks like the Top Gear alum are continuing their long goodbye with the new four-part special series The Not Very Grand Tour. According to Radio Times, this is an homage to vehicles. However, it will not be a travel series. Richard Hammond, James May, and Jeremy Clarkson are focused on racing and and discussing types of vehicles. But don’t expect a makeshift Toyboata trying to navigate across the English Channel.
This series will feature Hammond and May looking back at some nostalgic moments from the trio’s storied careers. Although Jeremy Clarkson is not hosting these specials, he is featured in the clips along with the other two.
The logline for the first episode is, “In this episode, the team celebrates the combustion engine, with a look back at footage from past adventures and test drives.” Yet, the trio is not going on any more adventures. Amazon already aired their finale episode, the trio is done hosting. But, the series will continue.
Although Amazon does plan on continuing these adventures, they have still not cast anyone to host. The BBC had many issues trying to revive Top Gear after Hammond, May, and Clarkson moved to Amazon. Therefore, these retrospective specials will certainly keep the series going until they figure out their next step.
When Will Amazon Prime Drop Not Very Grand Tour?
Amazon Prime will drop Not Very Grand Tour on Friday, April 18. Moreover, there will be a total of four of these specials. The next one is later this year. Also, they will air at least one in 2026. Here is what has been released about the other three episodes.
Next, the second special is called “A Trip down Memory Lane.” Viewers get to relive some of the mishaps caused by Mother Nature. That means mud, rain, and a lot of water.
The third special is called “A Bit Further Down Memory Lane.” This special will include pranks, SUVs, and other homemade vehicle projects.
Lastly, the final episode is called “Completely Lost Down Memory Lane.” This one “features everything from French hatchback racing and drifting Italian classics to an RV demolition derb and some massive dogs.”
Clarkson’s Farm Season 4 Premieres In May
Fans of Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm should be happy to know that Season 4 of Jeremy Clarkson’s hit series will return on Friday, May 23. This season will find Jeremy up to his own devices. That is because Jeremy’s girlfriend Lisa Hogan has a book and is working on a product line. Also, Kaleb Cooper, his right-hand man, is on a nationwide tour. Many viewers may have already seen his comedy show on Amazon Prime.
Therefore, Jeremy will “navigate new challenges, ambitious projects, and hilarious moments.” This sounds like loads of fun this season.
