Whoopi Collapses In Recent Scenes, What Happened?
Hot topics are often discussed on The View, and the juicer the better. In recent scenes on the popular talk show, the ladies on the panel discussed the divorce between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. These two were first linked back in the early 2000s. However, they reconnected years later and realized that the spark was still there.
Unfortunately for any fans of the couple, this reconciliation between the celebs was short-lived. The pair tied the knot in July of 2022, and finalized their divorce in January of 2025. It turns out, the ladies of The View had a lot to say about this as well.
Panel members like Sunny Hostin seemed adamant that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are meant to be. However, Whoopi seemed to have a completely different reaction, as she collapsed on her desk.
After collapsing on her desk, Whoopi started ringing the bell, signaling that she wanted to move on. It seems she was disgusted by Sunny Hostin insisting that Ben and Jen had “true love.”

Who Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are dating is regularly in the headlines, as they are both two of the most famous people on the planet. When a power couple like these two get together, they make even more headlines. However, judging by Whoopi Goldberg’s reaction to the discussion about the now-exes, she was not having it.
As The View fans know, Whoopi is in charge of moderating the discussion on the popular talk show. So, when she feels she has had enough of a subject, she can call for the panel to move on, and she clearly did that in this situation, with some added drama for good measure.
