‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Calls Out Major Movie Star

On any given episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg and company regularly welcome star-studded talent, including Hollywood A-listers. However, based on recent scenes from the popular talk show, Whoopi took it upon herself to call out a major movie star. So, what happened?
The View Regularly Welcomes A-List Hollywood Celebrities
As longtime The View fans know, the popular talk show isn’t just about letting the ladies on the panel spout off with controversial opinions. While they do this, they also regularly welcome famous guests to join them. Whether it’s someone high-ranking in politics or the biggest names in showbiz, famous people regularly visit the set.
This happened recently when Naomi Watts and Bill Murray were on hand to promote their new film, The Friend. They were also joined by the film’s other co-star, a Great Dane named Bing, and Joy Behar could not help but notice that Bing was packing downstairs.
Whoopi Goldberg Recently Called Out A Hollywood Legend
In recent scenes on The View, Whoopi Goldberg and company welcomed LaTanya Richardson Jackson. Not only is she a Broadway star, but, if her last name sounds familiar, it’s because she is married to Hollywood legend, Samuel L. Jackson. These two have been together for decades, and Whoopi suspected that the Hollywood actor was not very far. This is after Jackson’s wife indicated that the Pulp Fiction star was somewhere in the studio audience.
It turns out, during this segment with LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg got up from her seat and was on a mission to locate the Marvel actor. Goldberg spotted Jackson in the audience, adding: “I see you — too late, man.”
From there, Whoopi took it upon herself to drag Jackson onto the stage and made sure that the actor joined the panel. Of course, it’s not every day that you have someone of Samuel L. Jackson’s caliber just casually sitting in your studio audience. So, no one would blame Whoopi Goldberg for seizing this opportunity.
Even though staff at The View were eager to add a chair for the Hollywood celeb, Joy Behar was quick to remind that this was his wife’s moment on the show, and Jackson eventually returned to his seat among the audience.
The View: Samuel L. Jackson And LaTanya Richardson Jackson Have Been Together A Long Time
It’s a rare thing for relationships in Hollywood to last for the long haul. However, when speaking of Samuel L. Jackson and LaTanya Richardson Jackson, they are certainly the standard. They have been married since 1980, and the couple share one daughter, who was born in 1982.
While Samuel L. Jackson is one of the most recognized people on the planet today, he didn’t land his breakthrough role until 1991, where he played a character named Gator in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever. This eventually led to things like his iconic Pulp Fiction role, where he portrayed Jules Winnfield in the Quentin Tarantino cult classic.
LaTanya was with her man during those rough years before he caught his big break, and, all these years later, they are able to celebrate each other’s mutual success, and many people, including The View ladies, love to see it.
