Former The Bachelorette star Katie Thurston is sharing her treatment plan now that her cancer is stage 4. The newlywed has been hit hard, but she is not letting anything hold her back from living her life. Keep reading for more details on how she will proceed.
Katie Thurston Shares Treatment Plan For Stage 4 Cancer
It was not too long ago that The Bachelorette alum Katie Thurston shared she had breast cancer. She just turned thirty-four, but breast cancer is affecting people much younger than ever before. Immediately, Katie knew she and her then-fiance, Jeff Arcuri, wanted babies, but chemotherapy could make that impossible. So, she devoted two weeks to her fertility journey and focused solely on that. Katie also tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony with Jeff. They plan to do it up big when she beats cancer, but sadly, things took an unexpected turn.
Katie’s breast cancer became stage 4 when it spread to her liver. This has been a game-changer, but she is keeping a positive outlook on everything. Fans have wanted to know what will happen with her and her husband, as he is a traveling comedian. Will she be able to go with him, or is he flying solo? More so, will Jeff’s touring schedule affect if he is there by her side? Katie explained that he may miss the first three treatments, but luckily, they are spread out. Furthermore, if she is feeling okay, she can meet him out on tour.
So, that is a great update that she can keep doing what she loves and be by Jeff’s side if she chooses. However, another question for the former Bachelorette was what her treatment looks like for her liver. She had a set breast plan, but now, are things different? Nope. Since everything stems from her breast cancer, that is her focus, so she will do six rounds of chemotherapy in the beginning. After that, it is unknown what her next steps will be.
It does not appear to be easy by any means, but Katie Thurston has remained immensely positive.

Fans of The Bachelorette are supporting Katie Thurston as much as they can. They hate that this happened to her, but she is doing an incredible job of raising awareness.
