Wendy Williams’ True Feelings About Son After Money Mishandling
Wendy Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr., was once the subject of scrutiny following claims about his handling of his famous mother’s money. Since then, an inside source has recently talked about Williams’ feelings about her son. The source is also a figure who should be familiar to fans who have been following stories of Williams’ current guardianship.
Wells Fargo Had Frozen Wendy Williams’ Assets Back In 2022
Williams, the host of The Wendy Williams Show, has made headlines in recent months due to her current guardianship. The star has since retired from public life following her being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
Currently, Williams has been living in an assisted living facility in New York. However, Williams herself, as well as figures close to her, have spoken out about the situation.
As noted by People, Wells Fargo frozen Williams’ assets back in 2022. At the time, Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr, had power of attorney and was alleged to have taken a large amount of money from her account.
The bank grew suspicious and petitioned to have Williams placed under temporary financial guardianship. While not naming anyone, at the time, the bank shared, “Wells Fargo has strong reason to believe that [Williams] is the victim of undue influence and financial exploitation,” in court.
The bank claimed this decision was made in part due to “reports of the financial advisor, who has recently witnessed telltale signs of exploitation, including [Williams]’s own expressed apprehensions.” They also took influence from “other independent third parties who know [Williams] well and share these concerns.”
Since then, however, Williams’ caretaker and health care advocate, Ginalisa Monterroso, has spoken out about the former talk show host’s feelings about her sons. Notably, as previously reported, Monterroso has also spoken with Williams during much of her criticisms of her guardianship.
Williams Also Recently Reunited With Her Son During A Family Event
As Monterroso noted, it’s important to remember the timing. As she shared, “What the misconception is, what people have to understand is that Wendy told the world now that this happened three years ago.”
“So that’s something that they were able to get through. That will always be her son, unconditional love. And that’s pretty much, it was big news to everybody. But again, this happened three years ago.”
Monterroso also noted that Williams and her son have interacted with each other since then. As she highlighted, Williams reunited with her son when she visited her father for his 94th birthday.
As Monterroso noted, “He was there. And that’s the last part. But I do know that she continued to communicate with him. And that’s her honey bunny,”
As previously reported, Williams could be seen in a photo posing with her son and her father in a photo. Notably, the image had been shared on Instagram Stories.
The publication noted that Hunter Jr. had denied the allegations made against him in Lifetime’s Where Is Wendy Williams? documentary. Details of Williams’ current finances is not publicly known.
