‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Player Puts Ryan Seacrest In Headlock
Wheel Of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest has been known to get himself into some precarious situations on the game show set. Recently, however, one player put the host in a legitimate headlock. So, what happened with this situation, and is the host okay?
Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest Has Done Some Unexpected Things On The Game Show Set
Because Ryan Seacrest stepped into his first season ever as the new Wheel Of Fortune host, a post that Pat Sajak left after decades, Ryan has tried his best to add his own signature to this new era of the popular game show. Even so, he has faced some of the most spirited criticism from the viewing public ever since he took the gig.
Ryan Seacrest has done some crazy things on the Wheel Of Fortune set to try and put his stamp on things, and one of those moments was when he started breakdancing. This is something that a lot of game show fans still talk about, and even Ryan often jokes that he is still in pain from pulling that stunt.
Game Show Contestant Puts Seacrest In A Headlock On-Air
In recent Wheel Of Fortune scenes, one of the contestants competing on the program was a former wrestler by the name of “Big” Bill Page. Page made an impression right out of the gate, as he arrived on the game show set wearing an eye-catching and colorful Hawaiian shirt.
Page showed that his wrestling instincts were still sharp, as he put host Ryan Seacrest in a headlock in front of the Wheel Of Fortune studio audience. It did not take long for Ryan to tap out, and this was certainly an unexpected way to get the show rolling.
How Did Ex-Wrestler Perform On Wheel Of Fortune?
One thing about an ex-wrestler like Bill Page is, he is used to performing under the bright lights, and in front of a huge audience. So, did his wrestling prowess and his tenacity to compete translate well when it came to beating out the Wheel Of Fortune competition?
It turns out, Bill went on to command the episode like it was his own personal wrestling ring. He ended up winning $24,600 in cash, as well as a trip to St. Maarten. So, he had a solid haul going for him before he even took a crack at the bonus puzzle.
When he eventually got there, he picked a puzzle in the “What Are You Wearing?” category. By the time the complimentary letters and his additional letters were put through, he faced a puzzle that looked like this: “_ A _ R / _ _ / _ _ _ T E / _ L _ _ E S.”
Ultimately, despite some guesses from the ex-wrestler like “Hair On White Clips” and “Hair On White Glasses,” he was not able to solve the puzzle in time, which was “Pair Of White Gloves.”
Page may have missed out on a brand-new Ford Bronco, but, he did not go home empty-handed, and he left Ryan Seacrest with a memory he won’t soon forget, either.
