‘Bachelorette’ Katie Thurston Reveals Cancer Has Spread?
Bachelorette Katie Thurston went to her social media to share more upsetting news about her cancer diagnosis. She found out that she has stage 3 breast cancer. After finding out she moved to New York, has been undergoing fertility treatment, preparing for chemo and even got married. Now, she has received more news that could be devastating. Bachelorette Katie Thurston Gets More Bad News
Bachelorette Katie Thurston had been planning a big wedding to tie the knot with Jeff Arcuri. However, they announced they decided to just make it official now. This should be the happiest time of her life. However, instead, she is fighting to save hers.
Katie created a broadcast channel on her Instagram so fans can get more in-depth information if they so desire. Plus, it allows her followers also fighting breast cancer to connect with her and her with them. They can all share valuable tips and information to help their own battle.
Now, she has received some news that could be even more devastating. On her broadcast channel, she shared that two lesions were discovered on her liver. She noted they measured up to 1.4cm and are most likely metastatic disease. This would mean that her cancer has spread.
The former Bachelorette shared that her next step is a liver biopsy which will be happening on Friday. This was supposed to be the day she would start her chemo treatment. She already had a port placed and is ready to go. However, now she is back to waiting until they know if the liver lesions are really cancer.
Katie shared that her doctor is leaning more toward it looking like cancer rather than being overly optimistic about it.
What Does This Mean If It Turns Out To Be Cancer?
Bachelorette Katie Thurston went on to share with fans that if the biopsy results turn out to be liver cancer that is a result of her breast cancer spreading, she will then be considered stage 4. She asked anyone going through life with stage 4 right now to message her with tips about quality of life and motherhood after being diagnosed.
In previous posts, Katie has shared with fans that cancer oddly picked the right person because she will fight it and win. Fans and fellow Bachelor alums are offering her tons of support and encouragement.
In her social media posts, she has been sharing tons about her breast cancer diagnosis. She’s been taking fans along on her journey and has revealed it really helps her to have all the support.
Along with fan support, Katie has the support of her new husband. She revealed earlier that they tied the knot and are already beginning their future together as husband and wife.
Jeff has been amazing to Katie and even postponed his comedy world tour to be there for her nonstop through her treatment. She has shared how grateful she is for him to do that.
