Bachelorette Katie Thurston And Jeff Arcuri Welcome New Family Member
Bachelorette Katie Thurston and her fiance Jeff Arcuri went to Instagram to announce they have a new family member. In the last week, fans have been wondering if they would make an announcement soon based on posts they have made.
Recently, Katie and Jeff shared they were going to animal shelters but never said they were looking for a forever friend. Fans caught a glimpse of their furry friend in a video but didn’t know if it was theirs or not. Plus, the puppy was seen again in a bag Katie was carrying. Finally, a fan asked her how they missed the news that she got a puppy. She said she hadn’t discussed it yet. Now, she’s sharing their exciting news with fans.
Katie and Jeff shared multiple photos of their new puppy named Charlie. She noted it was very important for them to adopt a dog and not shop for one. They do not know exactly what he is yet but they are expecting DNA results to come in soon.
Along with the photos, Katie said, “A photo dump of our latest family member Charlie 🐶💕 It was important for us to #adoptdontshop so after visiting our local shelters, we landed at @bfas_ny where we found our little mixed #rescue 🤍 What is he? We don’t know yet but his DNA results should come back soon!”
They adopted Charlie from the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center.
Katie Is About To Go Through Cancer Treatment
Bachelorette Katie Thurston needs all the support she can get right now. After finding out she has breast cancer, she’s ready to fight the horrible disease with Jeff and now Charlie by her side.
She has been very open and honest about her journey to beat breast cancer. Currently, she is in the process of fertility treatments so they can retrieve eggs. She and Jeff opted to have embryos frozen.
Following her fertility treatments, Katie will begin chemotherapy. She wanted to ensure she had her eggs retrieved before treatment began because, of course, chemo can affect fertility.
After chemotherapy, Katie will have her breast removed. Jeff rescheduled is comedy world tour so he could be by Katie’s side through her treatment. She has said that his support means more to her than he will ever know.

The couple moved up Katie’s move to New York after learning about her diagnosis. So far Katie is staying positive and even said at one point that anyone who knows her knows she will kick cancer’s butt. She went so far as to say in that sense, cancer picked the right person.
Plus, now she gets to advocate for other women and stress the importance of breast health and self-checks.
